The circle has such a powerful spiritual and secular

sense to it - “the circle of life," the “circle will be

unbroken," or the Native American Indian’s focus

on “The Greater Circle,” as outlined in Michael 

Garrett’s book on the Cherokee Teachings for

Harmony and Balance, titled Walking On The Wind.

Garrett quotes the great Medicine Man, Black Elk,

who states:

 

You have noticed that everything an Indian

does is in a circle, and that is because the

Power of the World always works in circles…

 

In this featured Meditation Guidance, titled 

Circle Of Beauty, the unique spiritual nature

of the circle is touched upon, along with its 

connection to God and the soul.

 

CIRCLE OF BEAUTY 

The circle is the center of the Soul and all creation,

the symbol of all life, all being, of the completion

of all existence. The circle is strong but flexible

and, although it can be increased or reduced in

size, it always maintains an outside, an inside,

and the line separating the two.

 

Your life is like a circle with the essence of you 

within the circle surrounded by the world and 

God, which gives you form. God is also with you

within the circle and gives form to the circle as

the external ring.

 

The circle is perfect, beautiful, and sacred.

The circle is power.  The circle is peace.

The circle is a spiritual symbol and provides

the healing that is needed. Consider the 

strength of a ring; the circle cannot be pulled

apart end by end; it must be forced apart with 

great strength. Every cell of the circle has a

vested interest in its existence.

 

The circle of beauty is the circle of life, alive,

flourishing, creating, and becoming as God 

assists and supports - circles of healing,  

circles of prayer, circles of forgiveness, 

circles of faith, circles of love, circles of

magnificence – form these circles:

comprehend the circle, and you will

understand God.

wellspring - an original and bountiful

source of something: the source of a

spring, stream, etc., the fountainhead.

 

originate – to bring into being;

to create something original;

invent; start.

 

originator -  (an entity, a being or), 

a person who creates or initiates

something.

 

WELLSPRING

Beyond the open threshold of our

anticipation – where hopes, and dreams,

and desires all collide into semantics,

where one overwhelming urge propels

us forward, to connect and be connected

with the originator, to understand

why or why not.

 

When we reach out to the wellspring 

of  our existence, to experience the

fullness: the limitlessness that is our

very  birthright, do we ever truly grasp

and comprehend that the boundaries,

the conditions, the restrictions

are comprised of our own false

perceptions.

 

If we, within our prayers and our

contemplations might profoundly

accept the flow of good is without

bounds; no parceling out, no allotment,

just an endless supply of health, wealth,

success, prosperity, happiness, love and

so much more: we might reconfigure

our approach to living, being, and existing.

However, we envision the originator,

of our existence -  a consciousness,

a force, a spirit, a holy ghost, a being

sitting on a large throne; we need

to fully comprehend that this entity

acts as a spiritual “wellspring,”

a source of our abundance and good.

 

The note above, in this regard, reminds

us that our personal interpretation

of God is, at the onset, flawed by our

limited and restricted conceptual

abilities: and instead, we need to

accept the possibility that there

is only an endless supply, with our

faith serving as the faucet.

 

Today,  let us all heed this advice,

reaching out to our wellspring through

our prayers and contemplations,

with no negative thoughts allowed,

only a sustained, ongoing positive

vestige of openly armed belief, connected,

attached, ready to reconfigure our

approach to living, being, existing.

EVERY WORD

Every word you speak, hear, or think impacts

your reality, consciousness, and emotional

well being – fostering growth and empowerment

when positive – or when negative, violent, or

ego-driven – destabilizing you - throwing you

off balance and creating turmoil or anxiety.

 

The Subconscious Mind only reacts and

cannot distinguish real from fantasy, setting

the emotional protection system on high alert –

readying your body for fight or flight – even

when the experience is not real.

 

Every word you speak, hear or think should

be positive, affirming, and purposeful, rather

than toxic or mean.  Avoid gossip and unkind

remarks regarding others, and instead refrain

from commenting or thinking of your opinion –

know by doing this – you avoid the ego’s

destructive behavior – separating rather

than uniting yourself with others.

 

Protect yourself from watching negative

experiences on the news, avoid basking in

the pain of others, the perceived turmoil

of the few – avoid the pain created for

the pleasure of viewing.

 

Make every word, every thought, and every

experience reflects what you wish to create

and make alive and attract into your experience.

Learn to reflect only on the joy, peace, love,

and happiness you encounter, and you will

obtain your heaven on earth.

Meditation is the vehicle for exploring

the various levels of consciousness;

within the one universal mind that all

sentient life shares. We, like deep-sea

divers must set our sights on reaching its

extraordinary depths, following its siren

calls, listening for its sonar-like belts

in the bend-producing waters, submerging

blind at times towards the most profound

levels, where the treasures of oneness

and universal connectivity is strewn

haphazardly for ripe detection at the

precipice of being.

 

PRECIPICE OF BEING

A simple song - its soundless

rhythms - permeates my heart,

the invitation of an outer

consciousness erupts

in flavored words, meandering

in meditation’s hollow moments,

floating thoughts pulling me

towards a precipice of being,

shedding what was once

so meaningful, but now lies

at my feet discarded, my soul’s

flight in the ecstasy of becoming –

of what, I have no clear

interpretation, yet.

MOVING FORWARD

We must be moving forward, onward, fresh

and aware of our intentions, our desired goal,

our destiny, prepared to summon our inner

resources, as we marshal our outer possibilities,

potentials: finding a course of action, a clear

momentum.

 

We, together, must learn to love and live

in a world that is, at first glance, not conducive

to growth and clarity, a world needing

an awakened perspective to overcome

the torpid inaction caused by fear and

confusion; to find a purpose worth again

pursuing a future worth grasping.

 

We, in this vital and valiant effort, must

realize the value of every contribution,

willing to allow others to be and to grow,

knowing all perspectives need to be taken

seriously, to be allowed to flourish, to be

nurtured so growth and awareness flourish,

as long as it is offered with a spirit of cooperation

and love, tolerance, forbearance, partnership –

with hearts and minds focused on a more

cohesive, productive, and worthy existence.

WHAT IF?

There is a strong tendency for followers to build

an expectation of the followed. There is a strong

desire to want superpowers in our heroes, in our

Gods, and in our leaders; to counteract our perceived

human powerlessness. So, God, for many, has assumed

the big three: omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent:

a super savior of such magnitude; who, for a prayer

will rectify any issue or ill, self-created or not.

 

As we reflect on this approach - the debate and 

consider its validity - many turn away, questioning

why a multitude of dutiful believers have faced

torment, torture, and mass extinction without

even a drop of mercy, grace, or intervention. 

 

As the note below proposes, what if God shares

our consciousness, but is not able to counteract

human free will and directly intervene in the affairs

of humankind? What does it indicate about God –

what would it suggest that we consider doing

to save ourselves, primarily from ourselves?

 

For a few months, I have been reading and rereading

the note below titled The Stirrings, along with several

related notes that have followed and support a similar

line of reasoning.

 

This initial note below offers a framework- for how

an emergent God might come into existence. I am

still praying, meditating, and asking for guidance

regarding this topic, but this is one example of

the response I am receiving.

 

On this note, the emergent God inherits

a troubled collective human consciousness,

unable to exist without turmoil, war,

and savagery. Hate to say it, but sounds

a lot like life on our planet today. So I thought

I would try my hand at a brief introduction

to frame what might have been happening

in the world at the time of this emergence

of God. Ok, let’s start with my intro.

 

When a groggy consciousness awakes to its

intention,  fed by gaining strength from, and

finally given substance to by the fearful cries

and pleas of early humaness – earth’s original

inhabitants - daily facing a stark existence in 

a new world; as there fierce, more menacing,

cohabitants seek nourishment, and evolutionary

placement; this infant collective awareness, with

wordless mindfulness, struggling for existence:

produces the perfect clamor to call forth their

salvation, an emerging God, a collective universal

consciousness that finds a reason, an intention,

a purpose, and offers a refuge.

  

THE STIRRINGS

God came into being through the stirrings

of a combined consciousness, becoming

aware and awake, reaching out to make

sense and purpose of this united presence,

this life fully aware of itself, its place, its

possibility: knowing each individual

presence was, in fact, a part and parcel

of its larger, fuller, greater perspective;

all-inclusive, evolving, and growing, becoming,

being, then dissolving; a sense of one,

whole, a sum of its parts became – this entity

of combined human consciousness, yet also,

inclusive of all less vigorous or fully aware.

Knowing – even as it awoke, the realization

of a turmoil within, at war with itself, angry,

unable to appease or unite:  even so,  its

allegiances, tribes, or coalitions left little

but fear, despair, and savagery – to placate

it, to aid in its becoming, to foster its evolution –

how was the repeated question, as the over

mind, the now overall consciousness ruminates

its purpose, its existence.
