Ye who search of God, of God, pursue.

Ye need not search for God is you, is you!

Why seek ye something that was missing

ne’er?  Save you none is, but you are –

where, oh, where?

 

The desire to separate humankind from God,

and all sentient life, for that matter, becomes

more difficult as we explore the spiritual

concept of God as an expanding consciousness.

 

Although the quote from Rumi above demonstrates

what has been a popular esoteric mystical opinion -

we and God are one - the exoteric religious authorities

have, for the most part, considered this to be anathema,

heretical, often severely punished. 

 

This may be a reason why I usually sit on this type

of guidance – note that I recorded this guidance

below mid-July of 2013 – and have not returned to it,

until I rediscovered it this morning and felt ready

to delve into its meaning.

 

Usually, I would rather not offend the sensibilities

of those who cannot fathom or discuss this close

union of the Divine and humankind. Just so

happens that Ann, my wife, is firmly in this group.  

 

Yet, in truth, most of my spiritual work has been

finding and redefining a less supernatural, more

user-friendly God, one that might fit within our

modern perspective. I believe the note below is

proposing just such a conceptual framework.

ONE PRESENCE SHARED 

We and God are intertwined.

We and God are intermingled.

 

A shared consciousness, where our

consciousness exists within the limitless

consciousness of God, stretching

the space of all conscious existence –

we and God are one, God within,

God without – together, we and God –

the creator of all form (which exists as an

extension of our joint consciousness)

are intertwined.

 

Form is simply and totally a representation

of the creative thought of consciousness,

and, as such, has no innate power. Always

in matters of form, we must return to the

originator and the origination of our sense

experience – creative conscious thought.

 

Let us fully comprehend and grasp this

essential truth of comingled consciousness;

sharing the combined power of truly dual

conscious existence, expanding  our

consciousness and revealing the truth of

all existence, one presence shared. Seek

the point of origin in meditation, reflection,

and prayer.

 

Understand it is only through our personal

conscious connection with the world of form

that God can impact or interact or experience

the world of form. As God is a vehicle of our

expanded consciousness, we, you, me all

sentient life is a conduit for god to form

consciousness, for mutual, total, integrated

existence. Each sentient being is a conscious

receptor of and within tangible existence.

 

(If we do not open ourselves up to this God

connection, God cannot fully enter our world

except through grace.)

SLICE OF TIME 

This thin slice of time we now inhabit reveals

only the immediate moment, as we, in conscious

adaptation create a fuller, more multidimensional

perspective of past and present incorporated,

well on its way to an imagined future. With this

lens in place, we maneuver these settings

to comprehend this expression of existence.

 

Perhaps this present – this prelude to the future

is but a convergence of multi-moments, a sum

of probable alternatives that, in an infinitesimal,

momentary calculation forms a sort of sum over

history, an average of all possible scenarios,

to select and give us, as our best and most

suitable reality – our now.

 

Limited by our perception, we must

be aware that God’s perspective is fuller,

more inclusive but still impacted by the

complexity of multiple frameworks, alternatives

selected and abandoned, along with the power

of will and choice in every sentient participant

in this existence, so no static, fully framed

future can exist,  just an ocean of possibilities

waiting to be perceived, then combined,

and finally, to arrive as a slice of the present

time for us to live again.

Horror, whether real or fictional, seems to surround us,

attracting our attention by its scope and intensity in the

news, or turned into entertainment; especially prominent

and graphics in the electronic games that occupy our time - 

as our chitchat focuses on the pleasure of  watching shows

featuring hardened criminals, homicidal maniacs, brutal

warriors, and a host of the living dead.

 

The note featured below opens with an instruction

to turn away from the horror. I do believe that in order

for us to evolve, on a personal basis or as the custodians

of existence on this planet, we must find the wherewithal

to refuse to participate in the perpetuation or promotion

of our existing culture of horror: replacing it instead with

one of wholeness, clarity, beauty, loving-kindness, and

sincerity.

 

TO ENGAGE

Turn away from the horror, the disappointments,

the pains of existence – move, instead, towards

the wholeness, the pure completeness of a life

capable and inspired.  Know you, and you alone,

hold the key to clear, unencumbered existence –

fresh life – forming, reforming, being a being

of wonder, a beam of pure transparent light –

know you carry the essence of all existence

within – so release the stumbling blocks and

reach, fully extended, to grasp, to engage what

waits before you – find the frame of reference,

hold it in consciousness, become the incubator

for clarity, sincerity, purposefulness, passionate

existence – open to be, to receive, to become,

and to engage fully in your destiny.
