accouterments – noun: personal

clothing, accessories, or equipment;

trappings.

 

This morning, out on my deck as the Fall

unfolds, I opened my journal to the poem

featured here titled This Chest. Well, here

it is years later, and I still have the chest

referred to in the poem.

 

Perhaps, you also have a chest that you drag

around with you. For me, sometimes it is

difficult to differentiate between my dreams,

my often self-centered longings, and my,

hopefully, positive, authentic mission.

 

Maybe my chest actually encloses all of these,

and more: the contents are shaped into an

ever-expanding ball of  yarn created from

life’s remnants – its hopes, its frustrations,

its struggles, its deep desires, as well as,

its dreams, its purposes – all parading

in a multitude of colors and textures,

all vying for attention.

 

As I write, I realize that the chest may

not be the problem, but an opportunity,

an accouterment of sorts, holding

the clues  needed for a more productive

and positive life. So rather than stow

the chest, I need to open it up and

rediscover what it may have to convey. 

 

OK, I can do this.

 

THIS CHEST 

In the perfect peace

    of this tranquil morning,

        I seek nourishment,

    as we sit together

        watching life unfold;

why do I persist in

    dragging this chest

        around with me,

    I have no explanation;

just a desire to be

        free of it, of the me

            who will not give up

        the longings – these

desires to be more.

I would like to share some guidance

I received  in response to my morning

prayer and meditation session.

 

I was instructed to read the meditation

guidance below aloud until  I fully believed

it and incorporated it into my life. Now, as I

read it aloud I can still hear my ego exclaim -

"how could this be true - what about all

those things we need, what about this,

what about that ....?"

 

As I attempted to calm my ego I realize this

simple statement strikes truly at the heart

of enlightenment. If my enlightenment, my

heaven on earth requires this or that, it is

not true enlightenment - just the ego's

co-opting of the concept.

 

As I was struggling with this concept, I

read the following passage from Thich

Nhat Hanh, summing up again this

basic truth.

 

This spot where you sit is your own spot.

It is on this very spot and in this very

moment that you can become enlightened.

You don't have to sit beneath a special tree

in a distant land.

 

Enlightenment is truly available at any

moment, here, now, on this spot where God

and grace exists. This I feel is a basic spiritual

truth, which I understand and accept logically,

I just need to get my ego to cooperate.

 

Read the statement below out loud and see

what this or that your ego may be requiring,

before allowing you to attain enlightenment.  

 
 

RIGHT AND PERFECT NOW

My life is right and perfect now – no need for

alteration, rearrangement, or reconfiguration.

My life now is a blossom of intention, glorious

in its beauty, magnificent, lush, and fully

capable of offering all the happiness, all the

joy, all the peace, and love, I could ever desire.

 

Let me put an end to my striving and flourish

instead within the garden I now am blessed

to inhabit. Let me lift the vale of the ego’s

future living, open my eyes and heart and

mind to this very moment, this very now

where God and grace wait for my awakening.

Let me be fully alive in this moment now,

yearning only to touch its heaven on earth.

I reach back to September of 2011 to feature

below a previously unpublished note titled

Envision Life. I feel this is a practice that I need

to master. Honestly, even after studying the greats

of New Thought mind control - Mulford, Atkinson,

Wattles, Larson, Neville, Troward, and Holmes,

to name but a few, I feel my talents in this area

are but remedial.

 

Many of us roll our eyes at the thought of actually

envisioning and attracting into our lives what

we want through strong intention and faith.

At the same time, we marvel at the greats who

have done just that to improve the world and

enrich their own lives. On the flip side, how

many of us spend our waking hours in constant

contemplation of scarcity, lack, suffering, and

loss, only to be taken down by our own focus.

 

It is time to use our cocreative powers to envision

a better life for ourselves and humankind. Yes,

if you think this is brainwashing you are correct,

but I assure the skeptic, after a true assessment

of our errant thought patterns, our brains may

truly benefit from a scrubbing. Chapter Eleven of

Finding God On The Train – The Book , offered on

the right hand sidebar of the blog as it is written,

titled Mind Control Approaches and Techniques,

covers the art of envisioning in-depth.

 

So, let us use our thoughts to sculpt and improve

our lives. To grab reality and mold it in our favor.

 

ENVISION LIFE

Think it, hear it, see it, touch it, be it

fully in your imagination to cocreate

your dreams through God’s infinite

love and power.

 

Imagine every detail, every aspect with

the fuel of your love and desire. Live

within your imaginings until it feels real

and becomes your reality.

 

Breathe in the life air of this new creation

until your envisioning  takes shape like a

sculptor’s art – caress its lines, memorize

its movement, fuel it with life – a living,

vibrant envisioning, clear and perfect in

its power.

 

Every moment you have, move back into

your envisioning, your imagining and

resume your life within, savor the sensual

experience and believe in its reality.

 

Never question, never doubt, only believe

in the possibility – envisioning until it takes

form in the reality of your life.

 

Envision through imagining the new life,

the new purpose, the new goals, never

doubting – only experiencing fully.  

 

Envision with love – strong desire –

feel the emotion – the happiness and joy

this vision gives you, until, it is completely

framed in the reality of form – given life

by your empowered, loving vision.

I received a response to one of my posts on joy

that said I was trying much too hard to manifest

joy in my life. Is joy something we obtain or realize? 

This discussion brings me to a Meditation Note

titled Surrender. What if we were just to stop

seeking and surrender to the joy already existing

in our lives? To surrender connotes that we give

up internal and external struggles and trust in God.

I admit, I still have a way to go on this and my

meditation notes often reveal my need for guidance.

 

JOYFUL SURRENDER

Surrender to the flow of God even when it appears

counter intuitive. Surrender to the solution that has

been prepared for you – the positive outcome that

awaits. Trust in God to lead you through the challenge

and find a solution. Focus on this line and repeat it

to yourself as you struggle with your own mind.

 

I am whole and ready to receive

                                  the full grace of God!

 

Lift up your eyes unto God - let the burden slip away

and know that God is with you waiting for you to open

your mind to the possibility of a fearless life. Shake

the fear and move on for it is only a sign of lack of faith.

 

With each challenge find your mantra “I am whole”

and focus on this line as you turn the situation over

to God. All good awaits – do not be afraid or afflicted.

You are protected by your own strength and the

strength of God. Clear the way for the manifestation.

LIFE LESSONS

Let us realize we learn from every

    event, circumstance, or happenstance

in our lives – each providing a lesson,

    a learning, a clarification - helping us

to see clearer, live more productively,

    be more whole and authentic.

 

Let us fully embrace these life lessons,

    growing and evolving their messages,

knowing we are one step closer to our

    destination, our inner soulful vision –

allowing the experience to make our

    stride firmer, surer, more confident

and committed.

 

Let us return to a patient equilibrium today,

    finding our balance, our secret center,

At the heart of living a positive existence,

Words. Each and every word that we

exchange in the hope of, in search of,

meaningful connections, leaves

our lips full of vitality, plump with

purpose, striving to alert the receiver

of our intention or course of action.

 

Words are our messengers – the foot

soldiers of our existence – able to convey

love or turmoil, peace or conflict,

set out to promote or blossom – or

diminish or quell – to tell a story,

inspire, explain an action, or a reason

for existence.

 

Let us be aware of the power of

I fall into the day

      because it is glorious

                  and find you standing

Finding an analogy or symbol to describe God, 

helps us understand God as more than a concept, 

giving life to Spirit. In my poem below, Fabric Of God,

Spirit is the strong thread holding together life.   

 

FABRIC OF GOD           

Move through this life transcended –

awake and alive beyond the consciousness

of the physical – material world.

Comprehend the depth of the spirit holding

together the moment like strong thread.

 

The fabric is textured and full of manifested

and preconceived desire. Look deeply

at the fabric of life – the beauty

and craftsmanship of all forces

to create this moment.

 

The fabric of now was sewn with a billion

manifestations –  interrelated – conjoined

by mutual desire. Live the moment –

understand the creative energy required

to bring you this order – this into being.

 

Wrap yourself in the fabric – focus

on the threads of integrated life creation.

Rejoice in the opportunity to be a participant

in this creation.

 

This is the fabric of God – constantly evolving –

changing – reforming and becoming more.

THE SEED OF GOD       

At the heart is the Crystal Soul,

the gem of life, the Divine Self,

the seed of God within you,

prepared to unfold into the Divine

essence of you, thought by thought,

prayer by prayer, it unfolds as planned,

a gleaming crystal of love created –

refracting and consuming the light of God –

translating the infinite into finite form –

powering – transmitting-receiving and

connecting with God.

 

Even if it has been forgotten,

it will glow again – released

it will grow again as you pursue

the journey back to your authentic self,

rediscover your spiritual purpose and

raise your eyes to the Divine again.

If you are lost, return to the path

to your destiny – an life authentic –

a life connected with God – transmit

and receive.

When I get a chance, I like to present a meditation note

that actually occurs during the day of the post and reflects

my current mood - at times my triumphs, or at other times

my spiritual struggles. And I do struggle. Recently I have

been off, out of sync, as Ester Hicks and her group of

non-physical beings called Abraham would say, 

that I am paddling upstream rather than turning my boat

around and moving downstream with the flow of life.

 

I have done this enough to know when I am frustrated

with the pace of life;  I am just plain trying too hard.

So this morning, during my meditation, I received the 

following message, which I hope you will find helpful

if you ever need to find your way back. Know that, as

always, I am still working on it.

 

THE WAY BACK

Find your way back to peace, love, and joy for you

have lost your way to the fears and worries and

challenges created by the ego's desire to triumph.

Alter your approach and stop resisting what is,

reacting to each situation with strong negative

emotion.

 

Let go of your resistance, your frustration, your

need to make the outcome work, and simply do

what you are called to do. The rest will follow

as it is meant to follow.

 

Continue on and trust God that the way has

been prepared –  the cocreation is underway

and all things good and meaningful are on

the way in your life. 

 

Understand that your thoughts and negative

emotions are holding you back, your need

to please and be loved - to be perfect is

creating interference.

 

Simply approach each moment with peace

and with love to find the joy that waits for you.

Stop trying to maneuver with action and simply

maneuver with thought. Clear–loving thought -

expecting the best for others and yourself.

Breathe in peace – let out love – find joy. 

Only by letting go with love and visualizing

with love, will you progress.

 

Know all things are as they should be - even  

with your negative emotions impeding progress –

so let go – release – love.

There are days when we cannot hold

ourselves hostage to the duties, tasks,

or agendas we have set in motion,

but require a blank slate instead

on which to traverse with a free

abandon, no destination clearly

in mind, no intended result.

 

During these times, let us have

the good sense of allowing ourselves

the leverage to sit back and listen

to the distant call within, taking

a moment to reflect on what might

inspire us, or stir us to action,

catapulting our existence.

 

Today, let us realize it is the balance

and equilibrium of authentic being

that will secure our true harmony,

a being that will evolve and grow

only if we give it flexibility and

space to thrive and flourish,

to find its distinctive beat.

In the New Thought spiritual world, a central focus is

the act of forgiveness. Almost all great spiritual leaders,

most notably Jesus, emphasize the cleansing and healing

power of forgiveness.  I have done a lot of forgiveness

work having grown up in an abusive environment and

I am getting better at forgiving others in my life.

 

What I do poorly at times is to forgive myself. Frankly,

all things considered I have not done all that much 

to deserve this to be an issue. But when I am lost

in my pain body as Eckhart Tolle describes it, I can

take great pleasure in  mugging myself for my past

misdeeds. This may be the reason I received this

guidance from God titled Forgive Yourself.

Based on this meditation note self forgiveness

clears the soul.

 

FORGIVE YOURSELF 

Forgive yourself for not being perfect – for not doing,

saying, acting, and thinking as you think you should

or as the controller in your mind wishes you to behave.

 

Forgive yourself for all the mistakes you have made

in the past – all the missteps – the wrong directions –

all the blunders that appear today to be so clear and

avoidable.

 

Forgive yourself for all the pain you have caused

yourself and others – the pain you have caused

your children and free yourself of the guilt and

turmoil.

 

Forgive yourself for the missed opportunities,

for the poor choices, for the things you have done

that if better thought out you would not have done.

 

Forgive yourself for all the evil that you think you

have created and/or caused and free yourself from

the anguish of these deeds.

 

Forgive yourself as God has forgiven you knowing

each step was essential for your growth and

understanding.

 

Forgive yourself and love yourself again – knowing

you have done your best and always had the best

intentions in mind.

 

Forgive yourself and release all the pain and

anguish now and forever.

 

Now breathe the fresh breath of a clear Soul.

constancy -  noun - the quality of being

            enduring and unchanging.

 

flux  - noun – a state of continuous

                      change.

 

God is the energy of creation within the fluid

flux of existence: the thrust that evolves us,

that improves us that has taken us kicking

and screaming from our dingy cave dwellings

into the existence of continuously more profound

possibility; with a growing, expanding insight,

that allows us to push all-natural constraints,

and, even as our repeated attempts may fail

at times, often at an incredible toll of human

life, this spirit of God born within us, wakes

our aching Souls as it stirs our daunted desires,

inspires our muddled dreams as we stumble

forward, humbled but wiser.  

                                                                                   

                 FLUID FLUX

        There is no constancy,

    only life in fluid flux,

        an ocean of possibilities,

        appearing, being, then

            fading; moments sought

            and then discarded;

     desired briefly, only to be

        repelled - as we in lucid

            stretches intend our destiny

                with passion embraced,

            knowing clarity melds reality;

           some faint semblance of order,

                    yet even in this turmoil

                springs a synergy of faith,

              knowing this continual

           birthing will spawn

                  a wellspring of new,

                       fragrant life,

                layer upon layer

              of potential being, until

           in moments unexpected,

               it takes form and becomes

                   a resemblance of our

                 most potent yearnings,

                   stark and appealing.

transfigure – verb – 1. to change

in outward form or appearance;

transform. 2. to change as to glorify

or exalt.

 

As you may know, my guidance often has 

suggested that the pursuit of a divinely inspired,

positive, personal spirituality arrives with a not

so subtle expectation: an expectation that points

to a responsibility to use our gifts to transfigure

the universal consciousness of our world.  

 

I received the two inspired messages, both

presented here: Emissaries Of A New Vision

and Worthy Striving that follows. 

Both flush with further instructions on our

role as emissaries of a new vision, a new

way of being.

 

 EMISSARIES OF A NEW VISION

Today let us transfigure  

    our lives, our relationships,

    our ways of being,

knowing full well, we are

      prepared for more,

we the emissaries of a

     new vision of aliveness.

 

As we do, let us exalt what

    is authentic, praiseworthy -

    the characteristics

and traits of a higher living,

    a perfect way of being,

realizing this is our mission,

    our sacred offering.

 

As we create this vital

    reforming, this shift of

paradigm, as well as of action,

    know that we will encourage

a positive contagion, spreading

    joyously this new vision of hope,

prosperity, and evolution for

    all who seek it.

Let us begin!

WORTHY STRIVING

This endeavor, this pursuit of a more capable

spirituality, a spirituality based on purpose and

empowerment, reaching within and beyond 

to formulate the appropriate steps needed

to enhance our own lives, as well as the potential

for all humanity, all sentient existence, must 

be our concentrated focus.

 

Our action, first and foremost, entails a

reframing of our vision, our imagination,

seeing a world beyond the limitations set

erroneously by both the spiritual and

the secular, while concomitantly being based

on a communal joining of hands, a shared

paradigm of possibility where there is no

striving too bold, no vision too outlandish.

 

This pursuit, steadfastly, must be a picture

of our potential to the extremes, our soul-based

infinite nature, God-like and God-enhanced, 

tapping our true powers, our existing gifts often

untapped, neglected based on the advice of

the misdirected – allowing the formation, 

the rebirth of a pinnacle, a zenith, a worthy

striving.
