STAY FOCUSED AND CALM

Often there is nothing we need to revise, change,

or alter to correct our course or improve our outcomes -

we simply need to flow with the current, allowing

the day to unfold as it will. 

 

Often it is best to shift our attention away from the noise,

the clamor of the needy, focusing instead on the calm,

the serenity of a manageable pace, appropriate action;

the handling of true tasks rather than controversy. 

 

In all of this, often we do best not to elevate the confusion

or stir the commotion by adding our panic or dismay,

but to instead remain calm, stout, and resolute that within

our tempered pace and focused breath we hold the key

to any challenge.

AT THESE CROSSROADS

In life, we often must proceed long before all the details

are worked out, before a clear verdict is decided on,

without knowing whether this or that is the optimal

approach or alternative, forced to rely on inspiration

and our inner guidance. 

 

At these crossroads, our faith is often our most cherished

ally, providing us a framework with which to measure

the perceived pluses and minus' stacking up on either

column, reminding us, even in this haze of conflicting

desires, that only one criterion requires attention. 

 

As conveyed, let us look beyond the the ins and outs

of daily living, to grasp hold of our spiritual purpose,

our rightful calling, our Divine mission in life, choosing

then the path stretching towards this realm, even if

we have only a vague notion of its whereabouts,

allowing God to attract us to our greater good.
