This week I am exploring the struggle, at least for
me, between “belief” and “fear”and feature some
Affirmative Thoughts and Meditation Notes that
I would like to share on these topics. I hope you
find them helpful.
My daily posts are all original and come, from
what I think of, as a number of inspired sources.
Most of the Affirmative Thoughts come from my
notes of love, or inspiration, I write for Ann each
morning. As I make her tea, I sit down and jot out
a quick note, in the few minutes while the tea brews.
I try to focus on what may be happening in her life,
writing whatever comes to me without editing.
The notes have become more spiritual over the past
year. Ann loves the notes, looking forward to them
to start the day, so I rarely miss a morning. If we
are not together, I text the note to her. These are
also turning out to be a good source of material
for the daily posts, although never intended to be.
Today’s post comes as a result of meditation I have
had regarding a subject or topic. With nearly three
years commuting on the train, I have a large number
to choose from so they will usually not be hot off
the press.
I call these Meditation Notes and they come to me
when I ask for God’s guidance. I get a line or two
during the meditation and then reach for my journal,
and write out, in a stream of consciousness, without
editing.
The post below, resulting from a question I posed
to God to God during my morning meditation
on the train. In the spirit of the blog post theme
of the week, I thought I would get God’s up-to-date
guidance.
In deep meditation, as the train rumbled towards DC,
I asked, simply, “What is Belief,” and from the silence
my answer was - “Belief is Trust.” After a few more
questions I reached for my journal and wrote the
following note. I never really thought of belief as trust,
but after reading the passage, it makes prefect sense.
BELIEF, TRUST, AND FAITH
Belief is trust – trust in God – trust in life – trust in yourself -
trust in others - trust that you feel deeply, emotionally and fully.
Belief centers on, knowing what you think and cocreate with
God will manifest and become real. It is trust that positive
consequences will result in the end, even if they are less
than apparent now. Belief is trust in yourself, that you have
the skills, abilities, and talents to actually make it happen.
Belief based in trust is the essence of faith. For to have faith
you must suspend disbelief, fully trusting in the positive
outcome. Faith is empowering and over powers any obstacle,
challenge, or dis-ease that you are experiencing at this
moment. Faith is truly, the “elixir of God,” and will intoxicate
you with power, poise, and purpose. Faith will quiet your
ego and fears, allowing you to securely take whatever leap
of faith is required at the moment.
In the end, fear is merely faith in negative consequences.
Belief with trust is faith in the infinite, the ultimate, the
always, and potential good that awaits.
Trust in God! Trust in life! Trust in yourself and your
faith will make you whole!
