THESE TUMBLING TIMES

When we tumble, we see the world

around us from different perspectives,

from different vantage points, upside

down and backward, askance, askew,

off-center - by doing so, often, the thoughts

in our heads jumble, creating fresh ideas

not yet considered.

 

It is exactly at these tumbling, jumbling,

times when we must be most observant,

vigilant to pluck, keep, or cull these

gestational gifts – tenderly setting

each notion aside for more thorough

consideration, examination, later.

 

And when we do, let us be sure

to handle these gems with due respect,

trying each on for proverbial size

and style, be sure to give the

gift horse a trial ride, realizing the

forces that be may see an opportunity

waiting in the wings!
