Our spiritual purpose is defined below as

this “simple act of love” is often confused

with our secular obligations – the demands

of our lives, quite possibly even hijacked,

held hostage as we pursue some more

logical undertaking, fulfilling what others

think, or our egos declare, is proper.

 

I know in my life, the slow uncovering of this

spiritual purpose exacerbated my indecision

and confusion – causing me to run away from,

rather than towards this “simple act of love.”

Yet, in the end, what deserves embracing,

is that “this act” is our spiritual mission,

our true calling.

 

SIMPLE ACT OF LOVE

Stand firm, present, erect, and clear,

ready to proceed onward with total

commitment, full and rousing energy,

complete, competent. Let go of unfortunate

concepts, restrictive influences, realizing

only you hold the key to untethered life.

 

When the purpose is clear and the way

has been set, enter the stillness, the silence,

allowing the guidance expression, no need

to strain or stress, instead relax, all senses

alert, all vistas cleared, patient and diligent,

open.

 

Take this time of indecision, confusion,

to affirm the mission, see once more, again,

the full view of the task at hand completed,

feel the suffering abated, the loss reclaimed,

the evolution, the hope engendered – this is

the destination – the need fulfilled – the new

earth rejoicing, the peace restored, due to

this simple act of love.

My quest for a positive, personal spirituality has

required my acceptance that the standard notions

of God must be questioned if a workable notion,

at least for me, is to be ascertained. From

time to time, I like to share the Meditation 

Guidance I have received that continues

to clarify the God I have found on the train.

 

If we start with the premise that God is,

in actuality, a consciousness, then the

Meditation Guidance below refers to an

evolving consciousness of God would be

tenable, for would God not also be learning,

growing, evolving, and expanding along

with us.

 

My point here is to offer the message I have

received as another perspective for consideration,

not to convince anyone that my perspective is the

only viable one.

 

Your thoughts are always welcomed.

 

GOD EVOLVING

God is an evolving purpose in a fluid world,

an intention that grows, expands with each

breath,  reaching out, stretching all life forward

in an effort of becoming more, fuller, integrating,

infusing, connecting to obtain a more perfect

potential. This is the ongoing creation, forming,

reforming, learning as it has done since the

beginning of the original becoming.

 

This energy, this evolving purpose is the force,

the source of life with each creation, every cell,

every particle, everything working in perpetual

progress. This is centered in the consciousness

of God that one day awoke to the potential for

a more perfect life, a fuller existence, and has

since worked to allow life to form and reform

into a workable possibility guided by the individual

desire of each for growth, for becoming their

true possibility.

 

Humankind is an extension of this effort,

the culmination, allowing the consciousness

of life to take form, to sense, to feel, to create,

to flourish in a perfect, yet still evolving form –

the extension of God's purpose in actual existence.

Let us realize our significance as we expand

the consciousness that has created us, as we

contribute to consciousness through our

efforts and intentions and as a result truly grow

all life, and actually grow God.

 

As we do, let us prepare to take our rightful place

in the becoming, pushing towards our own

evolution, our own potential reaching to be

the personification of God-consciousness,

becoming God entities focused on individually

and collectively expanding the parameters

of all life.

As we stretch to ascertain and secure our

authentic spiritual life, a life of enlightenment,

fully connected with God and all that is good;

a life where we not only thrive but obtain our

heaven on earth, we must realize that it does 

take a concerted effort, but if we will start,

or continue with the well-meaning faithful

steps mentioned in the note below, momentum

will be established - that we will be caught up in,

that God’s grace will support us as we discover

with each step, our approach becomes steadier,

clearer: pointed in the right direction.

 

WELL-MEANING STEPS

Forward progress is rarely accomplished

with one long leap, rather it is the

accumulation of an often disjointed

series of well-meaning steps – taken

here and there – caught up in its own

momentum – establishing its earnest

success.

 

Often the first intended effort is the

most taxing, requiring that thought

of warning and potential distress

be soothed, quieted – allowing

each step a clearer path, a steadier

approach.

 

Realizing our own faith and

determination holds the key to our

success - let us give our dreams an

opportunity to thrive, waking each

day pointed in the right direction,

committed to the effort intended.
