ordeal (noun) – any extremely severe

ORDEAL UNWARRANTED
Ordeal unwarranted – solid, steelish, toxic, obtrusive,
singular – requiring full heart and soul, muscular
response from weak appendages exhausted, limp,
atrophied, no longer willing or wanting or able
to respond: yet, even as the dust accumulates,
as shovelfuls of fate suck the very air from clogged
nostrils and dried throat, something dormant –
displaced, put aside and almost forgotten stirs,
flinches, finds life once more worth agonizingly
grasping, as “fight” shakes off a long sleep, pulse
explodes mind ignites, true potential summoned
to overcome, to triumph.

TURBULENT MOMENTS
In the face of adversity,
let us proceed with clear
commitment and unwavering
confidence, knowing the path
has been prepared, the way
forward will be, is, and was
always solidly constructed
for our deliverance.
Realize these turbulent moments,
these times of worldly suffering
will fail to touch the worthy
essence forming our core
strength and fortitude, as we
proceed through the power
of will, with worthy purpose
founded in universal truth
and presence.
Yet, even so, with equal and
opposing force, we stand
our ground without hesitation
or question, presenting
a wall of resistance incapable
of penetration, immovable,
fixed, firm, in place, unequivocal;
until our adversaries capitulate.

Ordeals – often appear in our lives
unplanned, and unwelcomed: usually
when some adversity we are facing
or avoiding is not readily resolved,
will not go away, or carries with it
dire consequences.
An ordeal often leaves us unsteady,
reeling, angry, and more than a bit
hopeless, as it, initially, sucks the
life out of us, leaving us existentially
exhausted, in search of the fastest
possible resolution.
Yet, with this said, the Poem and
Affirmative Note featured above remind
us that we human beings are masters at
reaching deep within to find the strength,
creativity, determination, faith, and sheer
grit to marshal even the most caustic
adversities: to get up, dust ourselves off,
and go on to be triumphant.
WITH LOVE, G.
