All spiritual journeys must be based on mind control

to be effective. Buddha knew this, Jesus knew

this, the Sufi mystics knew this, the Christian saints

knew this, and we must each learn it in our own way. 

 

This is the reason that I have dedicated over a hundred

pages of Part Three of the Finding God On The Trian Story

titled Mind Control - Control Of Consciousness on the

techniques needed for successful mind control.    

 

It took me a lifetime to come to this conclusion, finally

expending a good portion of my spiritual effort working 

on marshaling the confusion within my own mind into

a workable, coherent effort, so I can fully connect with God 

and my own internal Divinity.

 

The garden of the mind must be tended to create

change in our lives, as the note below conveys.  

Through meditation, prayer, and ongoing reflection

we must find the thought root that has grown as a seed

in the concrete of our own consciousness, 

only to produce a tree that now threatens to crack 

our life foundation. 

 

If you are feeling that some change must be undertaken 

and the new seed planted, or that just some weeding

and pruning is called for, the Affirmative Thought 

below may help create the change you are seeking. 

 

WORKING FROM WITHIN 

All change happens in our minds and

    thoughts first – where we must tend

to the seed we planted that grew into

    the circumstance we now encounter –

the life we now live – the emotions

    we now feel.

 

All successful change occurs as we

    clear away the weeds in our mental

garden, prune, or redirect the existing

    thoughts, or when required, tenderly

cut back what exists to clear the way

    for a new approach or perspective

to take root.

 

All lasting change is worked from within

    as we learn to adroitly navigate our

consciousness – pruning and planting

    as needed, lovingly tending the blooms

of authentic, purposeful life – forever

    admiring our garden within.

The Law of Attraction, as it is most widely known,

proposes that God has set in motion a natural/

universal law, which enables each of us to attract

into our lives, whatever we so desire, as long

as it is done with faith and fully aligned intention.

 

As I write this, I am wondering if Jesus was 

the originator of this Law of  Attraction concept,

for his central message centered on how to use

prayer effectively to obtain what we desire or

intend. And, of course, his use of prayer in

healing actually kickstarted the New Thought

movement.

 

 “Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith,

you will receive.”  (Matthew 21:22)

 

“Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you

shall find; knock and it will be opened to

you.” (Matthew 7:7)

 

Deepak Chopra, in his exceptional book,  

The Third Jesus, The Christ We Cannot Ignore,

explores this connection and much more.  

 

The note below asks us to stretch, to see beyond 

the limitations set in motion by well-meaning,

but misguided authorities. I would have to guess

this warning probably includes me: so please 

understand this is my opinion or impression, 

not meant to challenge yours.

 

Note, in this quest for a positive personal

spirituality, we who have declared spiritual

independence - spiritual freelancers, so to speak,

all get to create our own approach, believing

what we wish, what actually works for us;

or moves us; and in the end, if desired:

free to tailor our own personal dogma.

I guess we might call this approach a

“personalized spirituality.”

 

In truth, I don’t really believe that we are

attracting “bad or evil” into our lives based

on the Law of Attraction. Seems to me we

do this very well, without help, on our own

ego-based efforts. 

 

I propose - our indwelling Divine connection

knows what is essential for our authentic

development: is fully aware of our calling,

and cocreatively works with us - when we

cooperate and are aligned - to accomplish

what we truly need to fulfill our mission.

 

I do believe we are the hands and feet of God,

and must take an active – “constructive” –

role in the cocreative process. This may

be the reason why success seems to come

to those who are prepared and willing

to work hard to accomplish their intentions.

This makes even more sense, to be aligned 

refers to our being constructively involved in

what we wish to attract.

 

OUR DIVINE PARTNERSHIP

We often must stretch to see beyond the limitations

placed on God and humanity by well-meaning,

but misguided authorities, realizing instead

the integral relationship which exists between

the creative force and the constructive,

effort-based force.

 

As we understand and fully accept the creative

nature of God, let us take advantage of this gift

and grace, seeking guidance and direction, asking

for insight and suggestions, allowing God to inspire

our plans and make clear the way forward.

 

Then, let us realize our individual constructive

effort is required, we must implement the actions

needed, lay the bricks, plant the seeds, gather

the resources to support the undertaking,

doing what needs to be done and, in the end,

reap the harvest of our divine partnership.

I have been reviewing my meditative notes

and realized that the concept of Christ

or Christ Consciousness is a frequent topic

of my instruction or guidance. In many notes,

Christ is a model or example of the Divinity

within, but as in the note listed below,

Christ is often presented as a living force 

transcending time and permeating all life.

At times, it all makes sense, but often,

I am not sure what is being conveyed. 

So here is a note titled The Living Christ,

which directs us to the moment of conception.

 

THE LIVING CHRIST

Through The Living Christ, reflect on the moments

of conception. The Living Christ is within each

of us at the core of our psyche and our Souls,

the center of spiritual growth and development.

 

We can best comprehend the creative birth and

rebirth miracle within The Living Christ.

Inside the explanation of conception, where all

the manifested becomes real – firm – physical –

we see the essence of God.

 

We see the formation of life, the existence, breathing,

and thriving manifestation. Look for and reflect

on the moments where dreams, hopes, emotions,

desires, and visualization find form and become form.

We owe our existence to these moments, expressions,

and miracles. Look at your progress and reflect on

these moments.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER

Today, with confidence and a sense of inner calm

we know we are ready to proceed with the day,

clear-headed and fully aware of what we have

to offer - our experience - our competence -

and our ability to do whatever needs to be done. 

 

Today, we are prepared with an open mind

to consider the options before us, to present

ourselves to the world as we gather all

the information for a clear and appropriate

decision, knowing we have what is needed

to be successful in this venture. 

 

Today, we open our hearts up to the experience,

ready to connect easily, able to convey the qualities

of compassion, sincerity, consideration, and kindness

that have made our efforts in the past so successful -

ready to allow others to see our authentic nature -

our unique offering - our distinct capabilities.
