scope - (noun) 1. the extent of the area or

subject matter that something deals with

or to which it is relevant: 2. the opportunity

or possibility to do or deal with something:

(verb) 1. assess or investigate (something):

2. North American Informal – look at

something carefully. 

  

Daily living is all about making distinctions,

differentiating the incoming stimuli, labeling

what is experienced, comparing and contrasting

each stimulus to identify, sort, and file it away

for current or future action-based choices.

 

I often find myself focused on what I am attending

to at the moment in my life, rather than what might

be beyond it, creating it, or fostering it.

 

From time to time, I receive guidance, like the note 

featured here titled Scope, clearly urging me on 

to expand my awareness, to stretch my spiritual

field of vision, to perceive beyond the simple

reality I live through and with each day.

 

For some of us, our current spiritual scope may

be all we desire at the moment, our existing

connection with God fitting our actual needs,

not requiring any further stretching or expanding

of our perspective.

 

I guess the question that requires some attention

is primarily: what is our personal scope; that is,

what are we seeking to achieve with our spiritual

quest? Based on this answer, if we believe it  

appears warranted; we can assess what type

of scope, adjustment needs to be considered.

Then perhaps, the note offered below might

serve as a starting point or framework.

 

SCOPE

Scope is an essential aspect of the quest for a

positive, personal spirituality. Scope – the depth

and breadth of any earnest pursuit of clarity

or truth; a more encompassing perspective;

a more focused intention, one allowing us to peer

beyond the limits of the periphery, stretching our

field of vision, our comprehension, the elasticity 

of standard or expected conscious possibility,

accepting full well the folly of material, concrete,

solid; conscious, and aware of no such distinction

exists; here now, our scope is broader, blending 

the dimensions of reality with imagination, secular

with the mystic, tangible with the forming and

formless: and now, with this ever-broadening scope, 

we begin to reveal the true nature of being,

the continual incorporation of all with all,

a borderless, boundaryless wash of watercolor,

where this is attached to that, as our scope unravels

the folly of distinction, separation, uniqueness – 

knowing only oneness, absolute unity.

I would like to introduce a discussion on simplifying

our lives. Often, in my life, when I wished to make

a life change the most, I found myself complicating

my life, so the change was impossible. I would go

out and buy a bigger house or a new car so changing

my job or career became difficult. 

 

As outlined in the Affirmative Thought, titled Simplification,

purposeful action is easiest to obtain when we unravel

the complexity of our lives, whether financial, social,

mental,  professional, or personal, and leave the burdens

we have, in most cases, self-created on the side of the road.

  

SIMPLIFICATION  

Today, through simplification, we realize

that less is really more – an opportunity

to unravel the complexity of our lives and

find freedom by removing our burdens and

leaving them on the side of the road of life –

allowing us to run through the fields of joy –

free to dance and sing.

 

Today, by simplifying our minds

we determine our reactions to the challenges

we confront and reserve our response –

avoiding the investment of emotion in

meaningless experience.

 

Today, we simplify our needs and desires,

leaving only the essential wants –

those centered on love, family, and God –

those centered on living our authentic lives.

 

Today, we understand there is so much more

in seeking so much less!

Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.

                Mathew 21:22.

 

So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you

have received it, and it will be yours.

                                                                                     Mark 11:24.

 

Much of New Thought is based on these two quixotic

and revolutionary quotes offered by Jesus of Nazareth,

that without question demonstrate his clear and profound

comprehension of the very essence of our relationship

with God.

 

I believe Jesus would read the guidance I post below,

titled Our Tender Grasp, and be in agreement.

 

No matter what faith we profess, it behooves us

to realize that this concept of the doable nature

of firm intention with solid faith is worth mastering,

or at least comprehending.

 

So often, individually and collectively, we listen

to all who blur our focus and, in the end, find

we have lost our grip on what we so sorely need.  

 

As we reflect on this, let us, with our own firm

intention and solid faith intact, reach out 

to evolve this world, our world, once more.

 

OUR TENDER GRASP

There is no destination beyond our reach,

no vision incapable of taking form and life,

no sentiment or emotion that eludes our

tender grasp – all is doable, possible with

firm intention and solid faith; strengthened

by a resolve that refuses to be deterred or waylaid;

a force of will significant, energized – set in full

enthusiastic motion – unrelenting – a united

focus on deserved attainment.

 

With this clear approach, allow no doubt,

fear or concern to blur the focus; denying each

as they erupt as unworthy and unwarranted;

and with equal measure turn a deaf ear and

blind eye to any criticism, judgment, opinion,

or envious conceit tended by friend or foe alike;

proceeding instead with a scrubbed mind,

whitewashed, empty of harmful self or other -

defeating chatter.

 

Thus prepared, we move adroitly toward what

is waiting for our full discovery and claiming our

due reward for faith and undaunted determination;

open to receiving what has been prepared for

those who master this belief-based becoming.

Spiritual Confidence is at the heart of believing

in your innate power to cocreate the life of your

dreams through God.

 

First, you need to have confidence that your thoughts

and actions will lead to the desired result you have

told the universe you want and need. This requires,

you have confidence in the Law of Attraction and

When you make a request, it will be manifested.

It also requires that you have confidence in yourself

and your abilities to make this happen in real life.

underscores the essence and significance of confidence

and its power to make good happen in your life.

 

POWER OF CONFIDENCE

There is strength and power in confidence – being

sure of what you are doing, the decisions you make, 

and the Divine support each day. Avoid the fear

and second-guessing is a by-product of your ego.

Know if you made this decision in cocreation

with God, you are moving in the proper direction

and can handle anything that occurs. Know 

you are an extremely capable and skilled person

who has an abundance of talents that you bring

to every life situation.

 

Trust in God and yourself and know all is working

as planned as God moves the world to create your

positive thoughts. Fear and surrender only breed

negative outcomes as the world brings you,

your fearful desires.

 

Each day say –

 

“ I am a positive, self-confident child of God

capable of great things now and in the future.”

 

Do not let others provide an interpretation

of your life – know your life is a magnificent creation

worthy of praise. Look at all you have done, and know

God will do much if you can become bold and self-assured.

Move forward today, knowing you are ready to tackle

the obstacles and achieve your dreams.
