Perhaps we have become too tame,

too civilized, too cultured; and in our 

indoctrination, perhaps, we have lost

the sight of who we are, unable to howl

fully, to roar, to dance to the ecstasy

 

of  being.  

 

REFUSING TO BE TAMED

Let us sit upon this universal life

and breathe freely, for we are alive,

flourishing, enormously prepared

to enjoy each moment, celebrate

every gesture, announce to the skies 

our destiny, our purpose, unwilling

to stand solemnly or in repose; instead,

joyfully flinging our every limb,

physically testifying to the eternal truth

of our being – aliveness so worthy

and strong, we, the participants,

the bearers of connected existence –

God’s chosen, everyone alike,

refusing to be tamed.
