Beneath the passion play of human existence,

exists nature, the natural, God’s world,

the simple order.  It is often easy to confuse

our constant state of human eruption with

what came first. When we settle down, rest,

meditate, dream, space-out, pray -  we can

reconnect with and join this order once more,

realizing we too are part of this simple order.

 

This morning, as I prepared for meditation,

I opened my journal to the note below that

I recorded a few years back.  As I read it,

I felt a sense of calm, of peace,  and I wanted

to share it with all who might benefit

from a pause in the holiday season hubbub.

 

A SIMPLE ORDER 

Tangible life erupts in mysterious ways,

like a fire at the end of a long evening,

a flash here, a spark there, a burst

of blue light ignites only to be snuffed

out by a gentle wind, lost in the embers

of its magnificence.

 

We live in discrete but connected

particles of consciousness, moments

always quietly present, simple, silent

reflections of our inner state of peace.

 

Reflect on the moment that surrounds you –

a slender song of opulent life calmly being –

no rush – no impatience,  just a simple order.

 

No need for doing – just enjoyable reflection –

life turning on its own pace – enjoin

its presence –  its nowness – listen

to its breath, listen to it sing,  it calls you

to its place – its God-given existence –

no harm – no foul – just the simple glow

and the hum of life eternal - being.

OUR CHERISHED MOMENT

May we wake to the true significance

of this day, its essence revealed by

the actual living of it, the sheer beauty

and magnificence of our being alive,

appropriately formed to taste its flavors,

savor its sounds and colors, to vibrate

with its beat and rhythm.

 

Today let us dive into this gift without

restraint or regret, knowing this is our

cherished moment in a finite existence,

a serial unveiling of an opportunity

requiring only our active participation,

our decision to grasp its presence, here

and now.

 

So let us strip off our disguises, our

inhibitions, all reasoning to the contrary,

and leap with soulful abandon, ready to

meet this day head-on, open to the full

aliveness it has to offer, never looking

away until sleep demands its rightful

portion.

Today, let us spread the notion of hope to

ourselves and all we encounter, that even

when confusion, stress, and life doubts

have us reeling - the solution, the peace,

the truth - the way forward we need and

seek is within reach. 

 

OFTEN

Often from the confusions of life

spring the appropriate solutions –

the answers sought, the way

forward as if by magic appears

before us, clear and firm as if

it had been there all along.

 

Often from the stresses of life

a simple peace evolves with a

whispered voice reminding us that

all is truly well, and will always be

well, no matter what we think Is

real or warrants our immediate

attention.

 

Often from the doubts of life

we learn to understand the truth

of our greater good, always poised

to overcome and challenge even our

darkest thoughts, knowing that we

truly possess the divine spark to

empower our triumphant existence.

Realize all we see, touch, experience,

or do, represents the culmination of our

desires made manifest, made tangible,

given form, by our creative souls - so this

life, our life now – is a vision of life

propelled into being by our heartfelt

dreams, called forth by our prayers.

 

For all we love about our current lives,

let us affirm it, establish its continued

existence - for what we wish to change,

to alter, or to refashion – let us love

it even more, and from this base

of active love, work to recreate it

into new form, revised, refreshed –

better aligned with our current

dreams.

Do you recall a time in your life, when in the 

midst of a raging difficulty, you somehow 

gained your composure, stretched to see above 

the prevailing storms, and by doing so calmed 

others and lead the way into the proverbial light. 

 

We humans, have this innate ability to stand tall,

in the face of tremendous difficulty, and  take the

lead. Although, there are some people who seem

to have a stand tall reflex, many of us do so when

our tolerance is pushed to the limit, and we grab

the reins in desperation.

 

Perhaps, in one or more phases of your life 

today, you may be at a tipping point, and I

encourage you to consider this standing tall

approach outlined in the note below - looking

up and over the mayhem, and with a "calm

attitude and a strong hand," work to inspire

others to follow suit and stretch to see beyond

their limits.

 

STRETCHING TO SEE

Stand tall today stretching to see

above the storms of life, beyond

the tempests of even everyday

living, adjusting your sights on

a patch of tranquility, although

distant, still obtainable.

Stand tall today even as others

persist in making the seas roll

and the waves crash, appealing

to their sense of sanity with

a calm demeanor and a strong

hand - pointing the way to a more

civil approach.

Today, as you stand tall for all

those who look for your example

in difficult times, realize this

noble act of determination will

provide the inspiration needed for

others to follow suit and stretch

beyond their often confining limits.

NOTE OF TRUTH

Perhaps the solutions we seek in life are

within our grasp, there within us all along,

too exhausted after days of fierce wandering

to voice a plea for warranted attention, or

overcome by schemes and hapless strategies,

sounding mute against the ebb and flow

of internal dissension.

 

So let us again turn our gaze inside out,

refusing to be tricked by our own magic,

the ego’s slight of hand, delving into the

disorder of extinguished life for the note

of truth we so carelessly let slip from our

focus, to be crumpled underfoot waiting

for this day of atonement.

 

As we calm our shaking hands, flattening

out the message for earnest deciphering,

let us work to nobly approach this truth

with open arms and an accepting heart,

knowing time enough remains for even

this undertaking, and strength enough

will come forth to bolster even this quest,

if we have the courage to pursue it

undaunted.

TURNING POINT

Often in the heat of living, we underestimate

our capacity for change, for reconfiguration,  

transformation, failing to realize we hold

the rudder within our grasp, that in every

focused moment the turning point presents

itself, requiring only our vested intention.

Whether this turning point only calls for a

modest correction, or a full about-face,

the degree of change is ours for calibration,  

adjustable as we proceed - since no maneuver

fixes our placement or direction, which is

always fully malleable - pliable.

Today let us study our course of action,

conscious of its ramifications, easily

releasing our grip on past intentions

if advantageous, open and ready for

inspiration if available, knowing turning

points are often our finest soulful

expressions, where will and fate meet,

where destiny is forged.

Although God communicates with us through

our own language, expressing in the terms

and idioms and icons we most understand:

perhaps God’s language is the first language

of sincere expression, primarily vibrational,

emotional, intentional as the note below

conveys, and we – if we really listen with

our full hearts are capable of translating

this communication into our own words

and symbols. Perhaps, our literal brainware

has been engineered to translate this God

message, and does so, if we will intently

listen, with faith, for its song.

 

THE FIRST LANGUAGE

Within deep consciousness, we speak

in emotions, vibrations, intentions

rather than words that require learning

and translation; we speak the first language

of sincere expression – feeling – the intensity

of expression spoke with and through 

the heart; moving via the Heartlight;

sounding and resounding and rebounding

and reverberating through time

and levels of space – across dimensions: 

this is the communication, the language

of the cosmos – listen intently, heart-focused,

and it is possible to hear the sounds of aware

life expressing, listen even more completely

and the messages will find expression within

and through you, as they have and continue

to do, as this note validates. Today, again

place your ear to the tracks of the cosmos, 

listen for its song - sonorous and lush.

incubator – noun - an enclosed apparatus

providing a controlled environment for the care

and protection of premature or unusually small 

babies. • an apparatus used to hatch eggs or grow 

microorganisms under controlled conditions.

North American a place, especially with support

staff and equipment, made available at low rent

to new small businesses.

 

At night, peering into the observable universe

with shooting stars and galaxies fully arrayed,

I often wonder at the other planets, like earth,

that must surely abound with life, also populating

this infinite space. Sure that the encounter with

extraterrestrial life will be accomplished as the

beacons humanity rockets towards the outer

limits announce our existence.

 

Yet, recently, my guidance is leading me to

another possibility. One that is strangely

unnerving but has its own logic. That is;

we here on earth, are actually the vanguard

of life in this universe. We are the first step,

and as such, the only sentient, conscious

life that has been so accomplished by this

magnificent universal life form so far.   

 

Ok, let’s focus on this question for a moment.

What if the sentient life we are experiencing

is the first, fully formed universal life, and we

are actually existing within a virtual first cause

test tube world, the first life, the advanced life,

the incubator of all potential universal life?

 

What if we are really at the beginning of

universal time, and we are the evolutionary

offspring of a dynamic, living growing universal

beingness. An offspring created via controlled

evolution, fully equipped with the desire and

capability to explore and inhabit the universe.

 

Although we may shudder at the fate of existing

and future life under this scenario, that is,

life in the hands of what appears to be, at best,

a toddler humanity, a first step is for us to

understand our place in this cosmic universal

life intention.

 

I have been meditating on this very concept,

and while sitting and meditating on my back

deck this morning, I could sense the very life

energy growing and expanding our existence,

always creating, fostering, and supporting life:

pushing us forward; never ceasing.

 

The poem below titled New Life, I believe

was an initial inspired response to these

ruminations.

 

NEW LIFE

Each day life erupts anew, fresh and potent

within the garden of this, our existence,

pulsing, pushing, stretching to reach a slight

step beyond, to grasp a sliver of more,

a morsel of further expanded possibility,

as beneath the appearance of stasis is a struggle

for this furtherance, a preordained unfolding where

the essence of being boils and churns undaunted,  

whirling, as the progression finds its inch,

as it rips at the fabric of this present confinement,

stretching its intention, increasing its volume,

inflating its very boundaries, borders,

expanding with its additional new life;

never ceasing.

PIECES OF GOD 

Everywhere I go

there are little pieces of God,

by gathering them together,

perhaps, I will see

the whole picture,

or at least,

like a puzzle partially

completed,

a rough outline will appear,

and I, with a little patience,

can imagine the rest.

In my opinion, a key to a viable spiritual

quest requires the tenacity to find our own

unique perspective of God, which, in the

end may sync with a traditional concept,

or be something altogether distinctly

different, as indicated by the note below

titled, The Origin.

 

This Meditation Note is the answer to

my direct question, during meditation,

regarding the origin of God. Now, this

response may be impacted by an idea

I have been considering, or better put,

fixating on lately  – what if God-conscious-

ness was not the originator of all existence,

but evolved out of the very consciousness

of all existence - formed out of evolving life

itself. What if God, is basically, all existing

consciousness - plus, all awareness - plus,

everything awake - plus.  

 

THE ORIGIN 

I want to say - look beyond the horizons

and into the life, breath, and pulse of man.

 

Here, within, exists the beat of a living God,

the anointed desires of all existence, made

manifest by a single intention: this sliver

of purpose formed from a consciousness

combined to be something more than the

sum of its parts; a primal force realizing

random exist0rs would not transmit a

greater destiny than mere being.

 

Here is the transcendence into an organized

being, a conscious entity formed and fed

from the totality of each thought, sense,

feeling, aliveness, and in turn, growing its

beingness, reaching out to foster the well-

being of all nature, striving to navigate

the parts towards a more viable, pertinent,

and self-sustaining existence.

Hold firm to your positive perspective today,

refusing to allow anyone or any event to change

your view of the world, your life, or your

approach knowing that only through clear,

affirmative intention do you lay a foundation

of strength and on-going growth.

 

Hold firm to your positive purpose today,

dodging any circumstance or happenstance

that would alter your course -  knowing the

way is clear for you and the ingredients

for success are already within you –

understanding all that is required is your

forward motion.

 

Hold firm to your positive attitude today,

avoiding those who would instill you with

fear, doubt, or dismay – knowing only

complete optimism will prepare you with

the mindset needed to attract and receive

your waiting good and propel you closer

to your magnificence and complete

prosperity.

Is the true gift of Christmas one of possibility,

one of  the potential to be so much more than

we now manifest in our often struggling human

race. The note below proclaims this to be so,

offering us three gifts, that if properly received

would truly bring us all great joy. 

 

THE THREE GIFTS

 In this season of love and wonder, we are offered

the gift of joy – a moment to step from behind our

expectations and gaze at the limitless possibilities

of a world focused on peace and goodwill for all.

In this season of hope and promise, we are offered

the gift of renewal - an opportunity to leave behind

the shards of guilt, regret, or despair still piercing

our more worthy self-perception, enabling a fresh

start to flourish, find its stride, and take flight.

The note below titled Pilot Light is one of my

favorite Holiday messages. Perhaps, the true

meaning of enlightenment is not experiencing

“the light,” but instead, being the light itself.

Hopefully, this holiday season will find our lights,

both individually and collectively, shining bright.

 

THE PILOT LIGHT

Within every heart resides a flame -

a beacon conveying the essence of the

life it lights – a pilot light of passionate

striving – igniting with full vigor when

the path to our destined destination

finds our seeking souls - there and then

illuminating the world.

 

Perhaps, the very message of this festive

holiday season - centered on celebrating

the brightest light ever to exist - even now,

continuing to offer illumination in this often 

too dim world - a light reminding us of our 

true mission, to join the enlightened magic

by pursuing the very human nature needed 

to embolden our own leaping flames.

 

So let us not mistake the "whole" in the

true meaning of holy - reminding each

of us of our true intent - to share our

light with like-minded souls - and by

doing so, fan the flames of a brighter

world.

The gift of love from God is ours

today and every day we live, we flourish,

I believe we exist, now, on the edge of the

evolution of humanness. It has, in fact,

already begun - it is not a tweak to ensure

the survival of the fittest, or an upgrade 

of our genes to expand our capabilities

or form, but instead an expanding of our 

human consciousness, a heightened perspective

established on our unique human qualities

of loving–kindness, empathy, compassion, 

sympathy, caring, mutual respect, togetherness,

sincerity, helpfulness, tolerance –  in others

words, our humanity - where we choose to reach

beyond ourselves, towards our own divinity

within, our true God qualities, and by doing

so shift the current tide of this, our mutual

existence, towards a communal salvation,

an all-inclusive transformation – with the

resounding reverberation of  joy, peace, love,

and happiness – the establishment of heaven

on earth.

 

This holiday season, let us all, who understand

the necessity of a common effort to reframe

our shared consciousness, take the first

step together, rising up and celebrating  -

the best we have to offer, then reaching,

stretching, becoming the prosperous,

the empowered civilization we envision.

 

RISE AND CELEBRATE 

Let us rise and celebrate this life,

its fullness, its completeness, its splendid

beauty, its vast complexity, knowing

we are more than blessed to take part,

sing its melody, to move to its sacred

rhythm.

 

Today, this day, let us take no moment

for granted, no breath without gratitude,

not a single step without the realization

of our chosen status, alive, aloof, anointed,

full members of a perfect communion,

THAT’S CHRISTMASTIDE TO ME

CHRISTMASTIDE – 1. the festival season

from Christmas to after New Year’s Day.

2. the period from Christmas Eve to

Epiphany, especially in England.

 

I have been so caught up in the celebration

of Christmastide,  I have just not had

the time to sit down and write a holiday

post. No hurry, since, thanks to my

mother, my Christmas observance is

fully extended to the maximum length.

 

My mother would have never permitted

a decoration to be touched until after

January 6– Epiphany – the day set

aside to celebrate the appearance of

the infant Jesus to the Magi – those

wise men from the East, sent by Herod,

who brought gifts (Matt 2:1): later

clarified and expanded upon to be

kings named Casper, Melchior,

and Balthasar offering gifts of gold,

frankincense, and myrrh.

 

My absolute favorite holiday CD,

the Pentatonix’s wonderful contribution

to Christmas titled, That’s Christmas

To Me - the highest charted holiday

album by any musical group since 1962,

the fourth best selling album in the US

for 2014. A major achievement of this

a cappella group of vocalists from

Arlington, Texas.

 

I might stop here, but I feel I need to

address in this post what Christmas

really means to me.  I would have to

say it represents a time of peace.

Let me explain. For my family,

as a child growing up, my embattled

mother, my often frightened siblings,

and for a boy like me, living with an

abusive father who ranted and ragged

much of the time, it was a sort of family

armistice, where peace actually prevailed.

Frankly, no greater gift could I have

received, then to have a season each year

where I could live as other children lived,

in peace. I guess, down deep, this is

why I never want Christmas to end.

 

Let us make peace on earth a priority.

There is no better place for us to start

than in our own consciousness. If we

all could live as outlined in the note

below, as if Christmastide lasted all

year-long, at least in our minds, it would

be a giant step forward towards

accomplishing this goal on earth. 

 

A PEACEFUL EMBER

Let us cultivate a perspective of peace,

incubating this initial intentional thought,

or imagining the warmth of peace,

knowing even a spark from a solitary

peaceful ember will ignite the full

fire of possibility.

 

Turning quickly away from confusion

or conflict, dispute, or distress, allow

each breath to assume a peaceful cadence,

as our thoughts and actions follow suit,

delivering us from the static of our often

hectic existence, to the tranquil, the serene,

the placid.

 

Realizing, it is in this place of peace,

our souls are nourished, our bodies

refreshed, our regrets and misgivings

washed away, as we find firm ground

for our forward progress – clear

sailing for our becoming, a fresh

canvas our creation.

THESE DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS –

THE CHRIST MEME

Christmas is a reminder that we are all

capable of a beingness greater than we

often attempt to harness in our day-to-day

lives. In that Bethlehem, manger was born

an idea so revolutionary that many of us

continue to struggle with it today.

 

For me, at least, it makes perfect sense that

a Universal God Consciousness would work to  

effect change by altering our attitudes, our

perspectives, our basic logic using a set of

ideas, although often appearing absurd,

remain uniquely contagious and still innately

appealing.

 

Christmas is an annual reminder that we,

as a humanity, are capable of more, that we

are the hands and feet of God on earth, quite

capable of grasping our inner divine nature

for the good of all existence: and with faith,

belief, and focused attention, we are able

to cocreate our lives, as well as our communal

destiny, with God.

 

The ultimate good I envision from Christmas,

is our overall continual evolution as a species,

no longer at war with ourselves and each other,

but Christ-like in key respects, realizing our unity,

our common origin, and ancestry – living with

tenderness and love.

 

As we throw away the wrapping paper, discarded

boxes, and the leftovers from our annual holiday

feast – let us take some time to unravel the truth

of  this newborn’s message - peace on earth with

goodwill towards men.

As we have discussed,  the focus of the message

of  Finding God On The Train Story is that

we and God interact through a shared

consciousness, and as a result, as the note

below conveys. a “logical” outgrowth of this

conceptual framework that we share:

a combined existence teamed to make the

most of our endeavors and our lives." 

This, of course, is facilitated, and the

benefits of co-existence maximized

when we  actually buy-in to this

framework.

 

Likewise, this notion is built on the

premise that every living being has

an inner divine nature and connection,

that even with flat out negation, this

divine connection cannot be turned

off or severed. Thus, the opportunity

for this inner divinity to assist even

the totally lost with reclaiming their

redemption.

 

We, who believe in combined being,

are in a unique position to actually

cocreate with God our lives of joy,

peace, love, and happiness – heaven

on earth. Others, will benefit from

God’s close proximity and ability

to assist when possible.    

 

COMBINED BEING

The lasting partnership of total oneness

asks for only acceptance, a willingness

to be one with the enveloping consciousness

of the eternal spirit, open to its flow, its push

and pull of complete awareness.

 

This consciousness incubates and fosters

the individually perceived awareness,

seen by most, as distinct and separate.

Spirit is with you as the air you breathe

is with you, dislocation, separation is

untenable, impossible; yet many conjure

a distance between the created and

the creative force of all.

 

Understand that Spirit, the infinite

awareness, through the soul, provides

the framework for a lasting partnership

of combined being, able to live and

be a united unfolding presence, open

to engender form from well-intentioned

thought, to partner in the cocreative

wonder of living, being, becoming.
