   THE DELICATE DANCE

I open the vision

            of my possibility,

            clear and immense,

where surrender meets

            intention,

where the two delicately

            dance, as if in

            mid-air propelled

            each alone, yet

            together, they cruise

            across the floorless inner sky:

back and forth, the leading –

            shifts – yet in moments

            of unpursued synchronicity,

            astounded, connected,

            one evolved, until again

the voices of reasonable

            doubt capture the moment,

focusing each on their distinctiveness,

            they unmingle, individuate,

separate for now, yet

            still, somewhat, connected.
