forming new the energy of an expanding 

consciousness, breathing each breath –

formless – faceless but alive – always striving –

always conceiving – always being more.

 

Our acts of individual creation nourish

the whole - pushing our boundaries and

the limits of the whole. The power of this

creative force is love – the love of the

initiative – of boundlessness forever

reforming, multiplying the collective 

energy of all humankind – all existing life.

 

We are truly the living spirit of conscious-

ness – bursting forth in an infinite variety

of magnificence. We are one and living in

this whole – the true living spirit of God.

Centering our focus on the present, what is

unfolding right now, at this moment in our

life, is truly what presence of mind entails. 

With this presence, we are well on our way

to controlling our consciousness and ensuring

we can maximize our powers of attraction 

and creation. 

 

As the note below conveys, this week accept

only pure unequivocal and unencumbered 

presence of mind.  

 

PRESENCE OF MIND

 

Let us today maintain the presence

of mind needed to stay focused on

what is positive, robust, and thriving

in our lives, as we refuse to be caught

up in contemplating lack, scarcity, or

potential pitfalls.

 

Let our presence of mind refuse to be

waylaid by pointless thoughts of

confusion, doubt, or fear focusing

instead on the wonderful life we

have created and are now living,

its vibrancy, its beauty, and its

purpose.

 

Let us bolster our positive presence

of mind today, with our faith in all

that is good appearing in our lives

when expected, knowing the grace of

God prepares the way for us to obtain

the joy, peace, love, and happiness

that is ours for the accepting –

ours forever more!

Ann came home from work on Friday unusually

quiet. After I repeatedly asked her what was wrong,

she told me about a major conflict at work that

had her upset. To help Ann through the weekend,

I wrote the first Affirmative Thought below titled 

Resolve In Consciousness -  providing the instruction

to only think about the preferred solution and avoid

hashing over all of the potential negative outcomes.

 

Ann loved the note, carrying it with her throughout

the weekend so she could refer to it often. She

clarified that she was praying to God for the right

solution since she didn't really know what that 

was yet - one that she thought would be fair and

equitable to all concerned. 

 

This made me think about how hard it is to

maintain our composure and balance in the face

of life issues and conflicts. Often, I feel that I can

use my mind control tools and skills to handle

whatever life has to throw at me, especially

when life is bump-less and is going my way, but

when I open that letter from the hospital saying

my medical insurance does not want to pay for my 

recent operation, the facade quickly dismantles.

I find myself  fighting  to maintain composure,

as my mind generates the worse possible scenarios.

 

This morning I wrote the second Affirmative

Thought below titled  Solution Forming for Ann,

me, and all of us who need to regain  composure,  

control our thoughts, and allow the solution to 

form and make its way clear. So when the conflicts 

arise, realize that we all lose our balance initially,

but what is important is to regain our mind control,

as we trust in God to work with us on coming up

with a workable resolution. 

 

RESOLVE IN CONSCIOUSNESS

 

In times of conflict hold the preferred

and positive solution in consciousness,

see only this and no other scenario or

alternative outcome – focus and fix

it into being – ruminate and reiterate

until it takes form - alive in your

imagination and in your life.

 

In times of conflict,  present the preferred

and positive outcome to God – requesting

guidance and divine support of this 

outcome and the universal alignment

required to give it form - establishing its

reality now by framing all requests with

this phrase:

 

“ I affirm and establish now that the

(preferred solution) has already been set

in motion and will be the manifested result,

the final reality  - and if not,  something better.”

SOLUTION FORMING

 

Today let us allow the solution to form

and make its way clear – to reveal itself

and enable us to process with clarity

and peace of mind – knowing all is well.

 

Today let us trust in the good nature

of all concerned to come to common

ground, to see an appropriate way

forward and proceed  to resolution

and balance through right thinking.

 

Today let us journey on with the

solution in hand, growing from the

experience and better prepared for

the future to meet similar challenges

knowing we have moved, together, 

to a new and fuller understanding –

an improved cooperation.

look into its eyes and see the blossoming

future – ripe and ready waiting for you

to simply say yes – step forward – moving

into it with your concerns in tow and

your heart accepting.

 

Embrace the change knowing this new life

is God’s doing, answering your prayers

and desires – gently nudging you into

the new you that waits longingly for your

arrival and the opportunity to reveal

your wonders to the world.

 PATIENT PROGRESS

 

Our best effort comes through patient progress,

calm and sincere activity directed at the goal

but not dependent on a schedule or fixed

expectation, knowing this unfolding is a state

of continuous awareness, reflection, and inner

growth, a consciousness forming and reaffirming

with each step forward.

 

Often, we fixate on the merits of the immediate,

the do it now; over and done with; complete;

finished; final; ready-aim-fire, hoping this speed,

this instantaneous result will ensure success.

But what is the operating cost of the rushed

as opposed to the relaxed, the contemplative,

the quietly allowed to evolve?

 

This move to patient progress will require a fresh

paradigm of achievement, success, and winning:

a realization that full accomplishment needs

complete immersion in the doing, allowing God

and truth to provide the guidance, insight, and

inspiration – to reveal a more complete and

worthy outcome.

It has taken 13.7 billion years to create us;

the existing vanguard of conscious existence;

we must be sure to fully comprehend our

relevance; our essential nature in the

amplification of all existence; we the

pinnacle of sentient, conscious creation;

separate yet indivisible: the current medium

of all that is.

 

WE ARE THE MEDIUM

 

Worth, value, the essence of the meaning

or importance we attach to each aspect of

this life is presently determined by the value

of replacement, often failing to realize even

a moment of our conscious existence is beyond

value, irreplaceable, life in real time, a sliver

is infinite and finite at the same time, like one

frame of a film, a nanosecond projected on

screens of consciousness within our minds,

the three-dimensional backdrop of each passing

moment, as senses fill the void with activity, color,

presence; we are the medium giving dimension

to the presence, so sure what is within us is a

representation of what is outside of us, fooled

into believing the distinction - when all is part

and parcel of even a fuller more encompassing

consciousness: the unity, the all that is.

OUR MOMENT TO SOAR

Let us wake today translucent,

            abundant, a beacon of possibility

and clear intention, knowing the way

            is prepared and set for our ascent

to a more prosperous, purposeful,

            existence.

 

This is our moment to soar,

            to shine, to transcend all the

constraints and ties that inhibit

            our full flight: like the buoyant

beings we are, let us lift above

            and beyond to our greater good,

our waiting magnificence.

 

Feel the creative power and energy

            that is God, as it infuses your spirit,

fires your enthusiasm, propels your

            waiting good fortune, know here and

now that your belief and faith empowers

            the evolution of all.

In our pursuit of living, we often overlook

that God is the creative force in the universe,

pushing you, me, and all of us towards our true

capacity, our full potential, our rightful

evolution. God is not the obstacle, but  

the full force of good focused and prepared.

There are periods when I find it difficult 

to connect with my divine guidance; when

this occurs it usually takes me some effort

to determine what I am doing to impede

the process. I  have been in such a period

recently.  During these periods I do receive

direction, like I did this morning, when

my journal opened to the note below

and I felt compelled to read it, and publish

it on the blog.

 

As a musician, I realize the significance

of silences created by the composer,

instrumentalist, or improviser in a piece

of music; referred to as the “rests” –

an eighth rest, a quarter rest, a half rest,

a whole rest – designated portions

of time equivalent to the actual played

note lengths, where there is silence;

no sound is to exist. Of course, without

silence, there is no music, only a drone

of a fluctuating sound.

 

Perhaps, I am to understand and utilize

these periods of  divine “rest” or silence,

to listen to the eternal voice of the being

that exists, always within me, the message

and guidance of my own soul or divine-self.

 

WITHIN THE SPACES

 

Live within the spaces of consciousness,

between the overlap of spheres of influence,

space between the concentric circles.

Movement between the spheres is doable

after detachment from the fixed state of

personal consciousness. It is in the spaces,

the silences, between words, thoughts, ideas,

expressions – where the true genius exists.

The divine resides within the spaces, providing

the fabric of consciousness. Spaces between

the breaths, between the tones. Travel the

silent spaces.

 

Live within the spaces of existence, between

the beats of the heart. Allow life – divine life –

to erupt from the spaces. Listen to the voice

of eternal being within you, the message is

soft and appealing, one of unity – furtherance –

and continual transcendence. Listen to the voice,

the message so fragrant, it enlivens every cell.

 

Live today within the spaces – feel the presence,

the true peace. Stop thinking, feel it instead,

truly encounter the true amniotic fluid –

the moist substance of eternal destiny – here

for a brief moment before moving onto more

pertinent being – an existence framed in more

expansive consciousness, yet know your life –

this life, and all its wonder and expansiveness,

is the true test – the epic adventure forcing

all who participate to develop, evolve and

eventually transcend.

As I finish my meditation practice, as is my habit,

I often sit and listen for what ever might need recording, 

often resulting in the notes I publish on this blog;

realizing what I am, is a listener, one of those who, 

figuratively, get down on their knees, put their head

to the ground, and try to hear what the universe has

to communicate.

 

Below is a yield from such an effort, not really

a poem, better described as a “Listening”  - like

a note from a thoughtful friend in the cosmos,

offering advice, and reminding me of the wonder

I am partaking daily. Like Emerson, I believe

we are all equipped to do our own listening, 

to connect with Spirit and share our musings,

if desired, with the world. 

 

WRAPPED IN LIFE

Sit still allowing the stillness

    to envelop your being, feeling

        the peace pervade the moment,

            breath upon breath, layering

        the motions of  your focus, here

    the unity of being exists, resides,

ready to reveal the secret of the

    universe - an energy of life within

        every cell, each thread, evolving

            with the oneness of purpose, to see,

        feel, touch, smell, taste this

    experience of being, willing

        to cherish one morsel of the

            elaborate feast of living,

        a texture, a haze of color,

    the clang of an acorn

finding  ground – realize

    what a wonder surrounds you,

        celebrate the opportunity

            to be here, now, wrapped

                in life and alive.

I have found it worthwhile, daily - and some

days even more often - toconduct a positivity

check, to see what is swirling around in my

head: is it empowering, encouraging, purposeful;

or a litany of complaints, poor me’s, and/or

ongoing despairs.

 

New Thought folks would say a negative mind

is attracting  just as vigorously as a positive mind:

reminding us that it is essential to ensure our

thoughts of anguish and angst do not betray us.

 

As the note below indicates, one way to do this

is to envision our dreams as already fulfilled,

obtained – and by enabling every detail to come

to life within our imaginations, we keep our

minds focused on what we truly intend: our

mental sights set to attract our greater good.

 

THOUGHTS OF DREAMS FULFILLED

 

Often we must inspire ourselves with

    thoughts of dreams fulfilled, keeping

our intended life well placed in our

    perspective, ensuring our focus is

not blurred by transitory moments

    of angst and anguish, life less than

desired or hoped.

 

To see us through, we must maintain

    a vision of all things intended,

allowing every detail, every nuance

    to find expression, to play and

interplay within our imagination,

    vivid and tangible, complete in

every way.

 

It is with this imaginary activity,

    we clearly frame our purpose,

setting our expectation even as

    contrary events unfurl before

our eyes untended, our thoughts

    and fervent emotion involved in

truer pursuits within, attracting

all honestly desired, forthrightly

intended.
