THE PERFECT PEACE
Let all the issues and challenges of life
that now encircle you, like a cylinder
of hostile weather, a tempest of plots,
subplots, and unsavory characters,
take flight and appropriately spin
in perpetuity, as you, in the safety
of the calm center, disassociate, finding
the hum of a quiet peace more appealing.
Perhaps you are thinking, "this is a naive
perspective, easier said than applied," –
especially given the magnitude of your
own spinning storms, but, what if you
do have the power to spin or sit in peace,
simply by choosing to do so.
So today, practice letting the psychic
mayhem twist around you, as you
earnestly close your eyes, following
your breath within, finding the serene
lake of your soulful center, mirroring its
tranquility, floating on its placid surface,
until your peace finds you.
