Open Yourself Up - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.1.10

                   

Listen! Can you here the whispers, the intuition, the gut feelings and

know this is God speaking to you.  There are days where I am tuned

to the frequency of the universe, other days when I am sure I need

a hearing aid. Listening or not I do believe God is always guiding us,

nudging us to our greater good.

 

                                Open Yourself Up

 

Today open yourself up to the wisdom and guidance of

            the universe – the host of divine forces always

 ready to assist you – consult with you and work with

                           you to find the way.

 

Today listen for the whispers, the intuition, the gut

             feelings and know this is God speaking to you

through a host of divine messengers – angels, prophets,

            seers and those on the other side moving you in

                  the direction of your greater good.

 

Today just ask for strength, support, or direction and

            your angels will immediately respond – solving

 any problem – fixing any error – providing you with

            strength and support even during your

                            greatest challenges.

 

Today ask and open your heart and mind and you will

                          receive assistance!

Today I AM Series - Meditative Guidance - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.2.10

 

I have been looking for a way to structure all of the guidance that I receive from

God and be able to provide a simple framework for the message I am trying to

convey on the blog and in the book. I often use the Meditative Guidance listed

below titled Today I AM,  which I received on a Friday, February 8, 2008 morning

train commute to D.C., as a daily affirmation. As I was reading it this morning I

realized it really conveyed the entire message. If I truly lived each element below I

would approach and embody the “I AM” within. For the next series of daily posts  I

would like to take one line at a time and reflect on the message. So here we go –

please review and let me know what you think.

 

                Today I AM 

 

Today I am the living spirit of God.

Today I am powerful

Today I am successful.

Today I am loving, kind, and at peace.

Today I can accomplish anything, be anything,

             create anything.

Today I am the anointed child of God.

Today I am confident, bold, and sincere.

Today I am connected to source, one with source,

            guided by source.

Today I am knowledgeable, valuable, purposeful.

Today I see the vision of my purpose.

Today that purpose comes to life.

Today I am connected to my spirit guide.

Today I am the best lover, boss, spiritual seeker possible.

Today I am all I wish to be.

Today I create the world of joy.

Today I am happy.

Today I am joyful.

Today I am blessed.

Today I am all these things and more.

Living Spirit Of God - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.3.1-

 

This is the first in my series of posts focused on the Today I AM Meditation Guidance I featured in my post yesterday. I would like to start with the opening line: Today I am the living spirit of God. As I explained yesterday my rationale for doing this was the feeling that if I truly lived each element listed in this note I would approach and embody the “I AM” within.  As I was conjuring up all of this yesterday the following meditation note arrived which I believe amplifies and defines being the “living spirit of God.

                

 

                             Ever Evolving Whole

We are each the individual expressions of an ever evolving

whole creating and becoming, forming new the energy of an

expanding consciousness breathing each breath – formless –

faceless but alive – always striving – always conceiving –

always being more.

 

Our acts of individual creation nourish the whole - pushing

our boundaries and the limits of the whole. The power of

this creative force is love – the love of initiative – of

boundlessness forever reforming, multiplying the collective

energy of all humankind – all existing life.

 

We are truly the living spirit of consciousness – bursting

forth in an infinite variety of magnificence. We are one

and living in this whole – the true living spirit of God.

Unified Universal Force - Living Spirit Of God - Today I AM Series - 10.4.10

 

Yesterday I started this series of daily posts with the opening line of theToday I AM meditation note I posted on Sunday - Today I am the living spirit of God. Yesterday I expanded on this theme using a note titled Ever Expanding Whole and my plan was to move on to the next line. But as I prepared for today’s post I felt like I needed to continue discussing and amplifying what the “living spirit of God” actually means. So I am going to stay on this line for a few days and offer some additional guidance and see if I can add to the clarity and hopefully discover how to cover in the book. The meditation note below titled Unified Universal Force describes the ever expanding and living consciousness of God as a force beyond comprehension encompassing a unified life.

 

 

                         Unified Universal Force 

 

Always connected to God you are encompassed in a

force beyond all comprehension – a force consisting of

the creative energy of all life and matter in the universe

directed towards empowerment, growth, and continued

creation. This unified force of all universal life and form

is connected and made one by the love of God. For God is

all of this life force and more - so much more that we

cannot comprehend.

  

Unified life is the connection of all existence within God –

a blade of grass in a universal field of intention and

growth. As a human being  you have this connection to

divinity – you are a part of a magnificent growing and

expanding energy of God. Within this connection you can 

 become part of God and move towards the qualities of

God like Abraham,  Moses, Jesus, Buddha and Mohammad

who became more like God as they acquired the divine 

 nature within.

 

You can never become God for a part of the whole 

cannot become the whole that it is part of. Jesus

moved to this God nature – divine nature - and

obtained a power over the forces of creative life.

This connection to the unity of all life is the creative

connection behind the laws of attraction – all co-creation.

 

Unified with all as a facet of God- you have the power to be

like God and create a heaven on earth through love, positive

thought, and centered emotion.

 

You are connected to the power and love of God!

I AM Powerful - Today I AM Series - Meditative Guidance - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.5.10

           

Today I would like to continue with our focus on the Today I AM affirmative meditation note I introduced on Sunday. Our first stop was the Today I am the living spirit of God. As you know the phrase  “I AM” is used to signify God and carries a unique power in and of itself. Christian Larson, New Thought writer and pioneer of the early 1900’s in his book Your Forces And How To Use Them underscores the significance of using the I Am statement in affirmations to signify your supreme self and your connection to God.

 

For the post today I would like to move to the next line:

 

Today I AM Powerful.           

 

Much of my work centers on the powerful nature of a direct connection with God. Spiritual Confidence is at the heart of believing in your innate power to co-create the life of your dreams through God. First you need to have the confidence that your thoughts and actions will lead to the desired result that you have told the universe you want and need. This requires that you have confidence in the Law of Attraction and that when you make a request it will be manifested. It also requires that you have confidence in yourself and your abilities to make this happen in real life.

 

The Meditation Note below titled Power of Confidence underscores the essence and significance of confidence and its power to make good happen in your life. Since being powerful has so many important aspects I will do a number of posts on this theme. 

 

                       Power of Confidence 

 

There is strength and power in confidence – being sure of

what you are doing, the decisions you make, and the

divine support each day. Avoid the fear and second

guessing that is a by - product of your ego. Know if

you made this decision in co-creation with God that

you are moving in the proper direction and can handle

anything that occurs.  Know that you are an extremely

capable and skilled person who has an abundance of

talents that you bring to every life situation.

 

Trust in God and yourself and know all is working as

planned – as God moves the world to create your positive

thoughts. Fear and surrender only breed negative

outcomes as the world brings you your fearful desires.

 

Each day say this –

           

       “ I am a positive, self-confident child of God

          capable of great things now and in the future.”

 

Do not let others provide an interpretation of your life –

know your life is a magnificent creation worthy of praise?

Look at all you have done and know God will do much more

if you can become bold and self assured. Move forward

today knowing you are ready to tackle the obstacles and

become your dreams.

Today I AM Successful - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.6.10

Today I would like to continue with our focus on the Today I AM affirmative meditation note I introduced on Sunday. Our first stop was the Today I AM the living spirit of God. Yesterday we did Today I AM Powerful and although I was going to spend a few days on the Powerful topic I have decided to move on to “Successful” after I wrote the following note for Ann this morning.

 

                        Greater Good

 

Today let us trust in the love and glory of God for

            positive outcomes trusting that in the end

only good will occur – only good will prevail.

 

Today let us be willing to take the leap of faith

            in all we do and create and know the result

will be the perfect result – knowing God will gently

            guide us always to our good and better position.

 

Today let us remind ourselves to trust in the love of

            God and all divine assistance that supports us

and move in confidence that all dreams, desires,

            and efforts will be successful and positive.

 

Today let us fly with confidence living fully

            and joyously.

 

So Today I AM Successful! As outlined in the Meditative Note below I believe this "success” occurs when we live our perfect life, which is our authentic life –the life we were designed to live.

 

                                  Perfect Life

  

As a creation of God you are able to obtain a Perfect Life.

The qualities of God exist within you and the potential

for God perfection is your essence and birthright.

 

Perfect life is authentic life. It is the life you are designed

to live, the life that will reveal your full potential. Perfect

life exists and is within your grasp if you reveal the true

message – the guidance that leads you to this existence.

 

Listen to your inner voice – your God soul and understand

where it is calling you. Where you are now may be close or

not, but do not despair. The movement toward authentic

perfect life is a force that will prepare the way if you let it.

Listen and understand.

 

Frustration, anxiety, and despair are all indications that you

are on the wrong path or need adjustment. All you need to

do is stop resisting, take in the lesson and understand what

is lacking or not. Look towards your joy or excitement.

Envision the perfect life, role- play, dream and let the

expression reveal it to you.

 

You are on the road to the authentic perfect Life. Move

in this direction and prepare when needed. Be honest

and willing to risk what is needed – be willing to work

and adapt.

 

Work with the divinity within you to reveal your destiny.

Today I AM Loving, Kind, and at Peace - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.7.10

         

As we proceed with our Today I AM Series we move to the next

impactful line of this affirmative mediation note highlighted in

Sunday’s Post - Today I AM loving, kind, and at peace. This single

line covers what many may consider the essence of enlightenment with

loving kindness and peace a major focus of most major religions

especially Buddhism, mystical Judaism, and of course Christianity.

Today I would like to focus on loving kindness and offer the following

affirmative note.

 

 

                        The Eyes Of Loving Kindness

 

Today let us see the world through the eyes of loving kindness –

            meeting each moment with the open arms of love –

thinking each thought about ourselves and others fully

            centered in love – totally immersed in kindness and love.

 

Today let us face our challenges with love powered by kindness

             and know each obstacle is only another test to see

if we truly understand the way of God – powered by the scared

             energy of all encompassing love.

 

Today let us touch the image in the mirror – our perfect

            countenance with a love and kindness centered

on gratitude for the gift of this physical form and the

            amazing strength of our inner and outer fortitude

            always ready to grow and become more.

 

Today we are empowered by loving kindness and rejoice

             in its magnificent strength.

Today I AM At Peace - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.8.10

Today I am loving, kind, and at peace.

This is line four of the affirmative note I posted on 10.2.10 to start off this series. Yesterday’s post focused on loving kindness so today I would like to move to “at peace”.

In our Mad Hatter, caffeine driven world we often have traded peace for productivity – me included - pushing ourselves along with all humankind to an exhausted frenzy. An essential ingredient of Enlightenment I believe is the attainment of peace. To delve deeper into the meaning of being “at peace” I am offering excerpts from my Meditation Guidance over the past three years on the train, which focused on finding peace.                       

          

            Peace is found through acceptance that this life

            experience is the experience you are meant to live –

            to learn from and to evolve through.

 

            You must find peace – search for peace – seek peace for

            your life – peace for your soul. Resist the restless issues

            brought out by life, they are merely illusions – strive to

            live in peace.

           

            First peace, peace is your mind at rest and your ego in

            check or in cooperation.  A peace centered in this now

            free of the weight of baggage from the past or fears of

            the future.  Peace to sit still and do nothing or peace

            while still being active. Peace that passes all understanding.

 

            Find peace in your life and existence. In this peace is the

            quiet soul at rest – accepting – unstressed – not trying

            to change the world but to move with it gracefully.

 

            In peace you let go of the oars, the fight, the determination

            to self create, and abandon the pursuit to the world that

            has already been created and prepared for you by God’s

            awareness of your wants and needs.

 

            There is power to be found in peace, peace of mind, peace

            in your heart – peace through acceptance of all that appears

            and impacts you each day in this life with God.  

            

            Through acceptance of God’s force of good in your life you

            will transcend your frustration and expectation of a different

            reality from the one you encounter.

 

            Peace – internal peace – frees your creative energy – life

            energy – manifestation energy - and enables you to freely  

            connect with the power and force of the creative mind of God

 

The repeated themes in these meditative notes over the years are - not resisting but accepting what is, trusting in God, and being now focused. For me letting go of the oars and going with the flow has always been my challenges. I will keep you posted on my progress.

 

 

Power Of Life - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.9.10

                            

                          POWER OF LIFE

 

Today feel the power of life surge through your body

            knowing you are a gifted creation of God

fully ready to excel and demonstrate all of your

            abundant gifts, your abilities, your talents,

                     your capacity for love.

 

Today move confidently in the world ready and poised

            to create the life of your dreams – the life of

      your desires – perfect, magnificent, powerful.

 

Today enjoy this life – all senses alive in the heaven

            of your making - secure in your direction –

   feeling the wonder of aliveness – authentic life

                  blossoming in every moment.

Today let us wake up and say to the universe –

             I am fresh, fully alive, and ready to see

what wonders you have waiting for me –

            I am ready to grow, ready to learn,

                  ready to become new.

 

Today let us wake to this fresh day and know

            the power of God – the force of positive

creation is within us – is us – and we are ready

            to blossom, to become our divine selves –

      alive and energized – creating a work

                 of fun, laughter and joy.

 

Today let us wake to our full potential

            becoming a force for beauty, good,

                and wonder in the world.

I Can Accomplish, Be, Or Create Anything - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.11.10

 

 

Today I can accomplish anything, be anything, create anything.

This is line five of the affirmative note I posted on 10.2.10 to start off this series. To fully believe you can accomplish, be, or create anything is a position of ultimate power. I would like to offer the meditative note below that is focused on this power.

                              

                            The Power To Create

 

You have the power to create into form or experience

any thought, dream, desire, emotion or vision. You have

the innate capacity for co-creation through God and the

Law of Attraction – or Law of Mind Action or any label

you wish to give it. For God has given each of us the

capacity to create and become what is held in thought.

Clarity of thought is essential for the development of the

life you wish to manifest. Negative thoughts will also

attract negative outcomes so you must not focus on the

reasons why your dreams cannot be brought to life.

 

The Power to Create is on-going, always working, and

never stops.  Practice focusing and training your mind

to create a need, desire, or want. Watch how the world

will deliver this wish. Focus your mind on the desired result

you wish to manifest and prove the action.

 

This is the reason you must constantly inventory your

thoughts to ensure you are thinking positive affirmative

thoughts. If not change the direction by clearing your

mind and focusing your breath until your mind is clear.

Then start again working to reset your thoughts and

clear the slate.

 

Test the power you have to create by focusing on

one unlikely positive wish and seeing if it manifests

into your reality.

 

It will!

Simply Believe - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.13.10

   

                         Simply Believe

 

Simply believe and it shall be. Belief based in

            love is the true power of the universe

providing the strength to move mountains

            or clear away the fears of your ego –

                    the power to create your

                        heaven on earth.

 

Simply believe and your vision of a full life

            will unfold and become a reality –

               your purpose will be clear –

                   your mission revealed.

 

Simply believe in yourself and the assistance

            of your divine guidance and you will

                 move forward easily and

                        without strain.

 

Simply believe and live this day knowing

            the way has been prepared

                      and all is well.

I AM the Anointed Child Of God - Today I AM Series - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.14.10

          

I would like to return to the Today I AM affirmative note series I introduced on my blog post of 10.2.10. We have covered five lines of the affirmation so far and now turn to line six:

             Today I AM the anointed child of God.

When I first transcribed this meditation note I wondered about the word “anointed” and I had the feeling I had watched one too many Joel Osteen services. Joel uses the phrase “anointed child of God” repeatedly and it is very effective for him but what does it really mean to be “anointed”. Webster defines anoint as “to put oil on in a ceremony of consecration” and defines consecrate as “to set apart as holy, make sacred”.

Going back to one of the pioneers of New Thought, Charles Fillmore and his dictionary of metaphysical terms – The Revealing Word – Fillmore clarifies that to be the anointed of God you are “one who is conscious of the real spiritual outpouring from the source of his being; a consecrated person”.

But how has God anointed us? As I researched through my other writings I kept being drawn to this note I have listed below titled Grace Within The Now. Possibly what we receive as the “anointed children of God”, whether we want it or not, is the grace of God. This grace appears to be our “anointed” ability to co-create our lives with and through God. What do you think?

 

                         Grace Within The Now

 

The grace of God is in this moment now – in this sliver of

present where each breath is newly formed and delivered

into the world. In this moment where the thought of

movement becomes movement. In the space of a clear mind

alive in the present now God Waits knowing we must work to

shake off the exploits of the ego – that focuses our attention

on the what ifs and the projections of a crisis ahead. Clear

the ego – clear the mind and focus on meeting God in this

space of now – the material of the universe – alive and

energized in the moment.

 

The grace of God – the abundance of God – the co-creation

of God happens in this place of centered nowness – all you

have asked waits for you to align to this place in spirit –and

there all you have asked for waits. This is the place where

the ego is made silent by the sound of the breath in

celebration – it cannot exist in the clarity of this now –

for real truth is alive here with the grace of God – the God

within waits for you to find the channel – to find the

connection unhindered by the static of the ego.

 

Be and live fresh in the now through mindfulness and

focus on the breath. Practice, practice with each moment

of life until you exist unhindered – in this moment. Then the

grace of God will meet you in this moment with all you have

co-created – with your manifested abundance.

Let Life Unwind - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.15.10

 

 

If you are like me many days turn into a race, pushing to move

forward, trying to create from pure strength of force as if I

was in this alone. But I am not in this alone and you are not and

today I say let us unwind and relax into the day and learn what

it has to offer.

                                 

                         Let Life Unwind

 

Today let the universe and life unwind, as it will

            relaxing into the pace – allowing yourself

a moment to catch your breath and give your

            divine assistance a chance to catch-up

                    and prepare the way.

 

Today push the pause button on your host of

            desires, plans, and dreams and watch

as life unfolds anyway without strain or effort.

            Let “is” be what it is and truly

                understand all is well.

 

Today quiet the voice of the determined ego

            replacing it with a simple phrase:

       “I have planted the seeds of joy –

            and they are blossoming now”!

             Today go with the flow.

A World Of Miracles - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.18.10

 

There are two ways to live your life - one is as though

    nothing is a miracle, the other is as though

    everything is a miracle.     Albert Einstein

 

Let us choose miracles. Here is an affirmative thought

to support our vision.                                          

                          

                             A World Of Miracles

 

Today let us envision a world of miracles infused with

            the love of God and the magical powers

   of the Universe – beginning with the miracle of our

            next breath, the beauty reflected through

            our senses, the ability to experience love,

                           joy, and all emotions.

 

Today let us realize we are miracles living within

            a miracle - capable of further creating

       miracles for ourselves, those we love, and

                                  the world.

 

Today let us reach to connect with the force of

            wonder – the creative wonder behind

        all miracles – the miracle of all miracles –

                         God in the world.

Recognize Yourself - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.26.10

 

 Sometimes in the pursuit of our authentic lives we forget to  

 recognize the one person who we most need to succeed –

 ourselves. 

                                         

                                   Recognize Yourself

 

Today recognize yourself –

all you are and all you do –

know you have accomplished wonders –

scaled mountains through

rough terrain to reach

this summit of your life.

Take a moment and enjoy the view.

 

Today confirm and affirm you

are on the right path –

making the right decisions to move

towards your dreams – ready, wiling, and able

to continue your success.

 

Today be proud of who you are

and who you have

become – loving, kind, purposeful, and

authentic – strong and powerful – living with

clarity and faith – creating your

greater good.

Living In The Flow - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.27.10

 

Today if you get the most out of everything you do – focusing fully on every activity and being totally one with each action – alive in the moment –in the doing – enjoying even the most mundane tasks – you would be in the “Flow”.  A University of Chicago professor and research Psychologist, with one of the most difficult names on earth, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, created the theoretical concept called FLOW – The Psychology of Optimal Experience  - also the name of his book listed under his name in my Spiritual Store at

Mihaly’s work is based on observing those who experienced happiness and joy from their daily lives and activities. I consider FLOW as Purposeful Action or Authentic Living. I feel Flow is much easier to achieve when we are connected to our divine selves. In the Affirmative Thought below I expand on this concept of Flow.

 

                    Living In The Flow         

 

         Today let us wake refreshed and ready to make

                 the most of this day – ready to excel

                at all we do – ready to give our all and

                     move into the  “flow” of each

                   activity creating and completing.

 

        Today let us live in the flow fully attuned

             to what is needed with each new step –

               alive and at one with every action –

            with every thought – one with purpose.

 

        Today let us live within the flow in all we

               do or think or feel – optimizing life

                   with each breath totally one

                        with our intentions.

 

            Today let us surrender to the pure joy

                        of unrestricted doing –

                   the optimal experience of life.

Optimize The Day - Affirmative Thought - Daily Post On Enlightenment - 10.28.10

 

The focus of yesterday’s post was on obtaining and sustaining “Flow” – defined as being able to focus fully on every activity and being totally one with each action - alive in the moment – in the doing – enjoying even the most mundane tasks. The term “FLOW” was coined by a University of Chicago professor and research Psychologist, with one of the most difficult names on earth, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, to describe those who experienced happiness and joy from their daily lives and activities. At times I am so caught up in my projects, blogs, books, and notes that I forget there is a life to be fully lived out here. You – me  – we all need to take time to move outside of the expectations and with open arms fully embrace our lives – growing them – stretching them and most importantly enjoying them. Here is an Affirmative Thought to get you started today. Thank you for being you.

 

                             Live Fully

 

  Today live fully and focus on fun – moving

            outside of the usual and into the

       unique, stretching your boundaries

           into a new approach for living –

                    refresh yourself –

               be less serious and just

              laugh,

                    frolic, and enjoy.

 

 Today live fully and know again the

              joy of living, evolving,

         growing beyond the norm –

                be leading edge and

    breathe in the invigorating essence

        of life on a roll moving towards

              your authentic soul.
