Life is not meant to be partially lived, it requires
full and active participation. The same applies
to our spiritual quest, less than full effort leaves
us spinning without progress. Yet, there are those
days when we would rather be some place else,
doing something else. This is known as resistance.
When I experience this resistance, I am often
perplexed and wonder why it is happening.
Am I tired? Do I not feel well? Or is it something
deeper? Am I just sabotaging my efforts? Am I
experiencing what I often refer to as "existential
ennui" - a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction
arising from a lack of interest or excitement in
my current life. Oh, I can easily work up
numerous external and internal reasons for my
But more often than not, it just takes a deep
breath and a decision to push on. Yes, nothing
overcomes resistance like action, clear, purposeful
action. The note below reminds us to push on,
and that we are not alone in this effort.
Push on today past whatever maybe
holding you back from complete and
total participation – letting go of
fear, doubt, and indecision replacing
it with a feeling of confidence and
clarity – surefooted self-acceptance.
Push on today fully aware of the divine
strength you carry with you – knowing
no one could penetrate or vanquish
your inner stability – so tap the power
you possess letting it strengthen
your will and further your might.
Push on today at one with your purpose,
your mission, your sense of right,
realizing that you are prepared to be
the best you possible – you are ready
to lead the way to the success that
is waiting your arrival.
