Today let us focus on being
rather than becoming –
reflecting on and centering ourselves
in the strength and substance
of the life we now inhabit –
knowing we have already arrived.
Today let us encourage
and support this being
by realizing the magnificence
and beauty that being offers –
a spark of creative genius
in physical form – a work of art
to exhibit proudly and triumphantly.
Today let us be this being –
not some dream, or wish,
or expectation – not some illusion
based on comparison to others –
just this wonderful, purposeful,
and perfect being – celebrating
this being in the world!
